“V” was such a cool mini-series. Kenneth Johnson did a brilliant job considering the crap he had to put up with from the network.
The Final Battle was quite reflective of the Soaps on TV during that time. They should keep the Ham Tyler Character and scrap everything else from “TFB” as well as the series.

May Mr. Johnson get a variation of his “V” the next generation on TV or in the Theatres someday and may this ABC piece of crap die a miserable quick death. I mean “homeland security”, what made the original so good was that it was totally removed from the government. Hell, the governments were the first to fall because of their obvious weaknesses(i.e. easily corrupted, slimy, back stabing, etc…)

A few things:
1. Why is there a need to make a new Clash of the Titans? This sounds so bad.
2. Been looking forward to Tron 2.0 since I was a mere pup.
3. Orci if you are seeing this, you guys need to write in Galvatron for Transformers 3 so Nimoy can voice him. He should be given a role in everything from now on. Like North Korea naming Kim eternal president. That should be Nimoy on film. DO I get an amen?

Thanks much for the RTD clip … although I’m amazed the interviewers let the Bernard Cribbins detail slip by without comment. I only read about that a few days ago, and I consider it to be the #1 most exciting bit of news in genre fiction for 2009 … (yes, yes, there’s a Star Trek movie and things … but we’re talking about WILF, man).

Seeing Wilf deal with “them aliens” will be a televisual feast, to be sure.

Maybe it’s because they’re British, and Bernard Cribbins is just no-big-deal to them or something? Or just that they knew they were running short on time or something. Can’t quite fathom it.

Riverworld? Scifi Channel already tried at a few year back. It was OK but not great, and did not go anywhere after the “to be continued” ending. I hope this one is better and more true to the original Farmer books (in concepts and ideas if not in specific details). If it becomes a series, it would be an excellent vehicle for a 4 to 5 -year run (like BSG).

That image with the continuous river winding around the world is pretty cool.

That comment was mainly aimed at #3 who was getting particularly snide and vicious with his remarks toward me! Didn’t mean to offend the other posts which were reasonable in tone. :)
