I just got a Fandango Alert saying that tickets for the May 7th early showing at 7PM for Star Trek is available for sale!

Just picked up my two for 7PM at the AMC Theater in Menlo Park Mall, NJ. Good thing I’m off on Friday, too! I might have to watch it again at a nearby IMAX theater!

Our premier was absolutely free, at least for uot fanclub. And I know, that there were a lot of give aways on russian cinema-sites.

Not sure, could be. All I know is that my Ukranina fellow-trekkie friend watched the english “bad copy”, as you put it, the day before we had a premier here :).

Hi all!
On 12th april I was on Russian premier, and it was really amazing!

We saw Bana, Yelchin, Saldana and JJ before screening: Bana was rather dull and tired, Anton was shy at first, but quickly found himself, Saldana was incredibly hot(although she was really trembling in her short thin dress :) ), and JJ was very communicative and open.

The movie is unbelievably good! Chekov rules! Although russian bubbing killed half of his moments(feel the irony!).
When I had left the cinema, it was with feeling, that i saw a true Star Trek film, not just another sci-fi blockbuster.

I can also confirm the good news in Chicago! Just got my 7pm, May 7th tickets. Only the Kerasotes theaters are selling tickets as of right now, so I’m not sure if the AMC theaters will have the early tickets also or not.

oh yeah and they are for specific seats (balcony)… no waiting in line.. which is not to say that I won’t ‘beam’ in and out of the lines just cause I can..

I will be waiting a few days, maybe going to the monday or tuesday night screening, I’ve waited this long!

and I HATE over full cinemas, I HATE ill mannered kids kicking my seat/talking/poking at their mobile phone.

so I always wait a few days and THEN go, I get to actually ENJOY the film, not have to exert effort into cancelling out all the people interference..

although.. its damned tempting :)
