Picked up the 6" line except Pike & Uhura which I haven't found at 3 stores I've checked. They also aren't available via TRU Canada online shopping, so perhaps these aren't available in Canada? My 10-year old son & almost-6-year-old daughter love them.

#70 according to that article you posted from Memory-Alpha:

"There are some stray elements which detract from the 'one ship, one emblem' theory, however; some members of Kirk's academy class who cajoled Kirk in a lounge in TOS: 'Court Martial' also wore the Enterprise patch. It would seem unlikely that Kirk's direct subordinates would take part in such a thing, classmate or no, so it least suggests they were assigned elsewhere, yet had the same patch. "

I guess thats at least a half answer?

my question is why the overuse of the delta shield, up till the movie era it was just the enterprise logo, used to indicate that the person wearing it was from the enterprise, http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Assignment_patch or is it another bit of canon that is going to be dropped or stretched?

I got basically all my stuff at y local Toys R Us on Saturday!
The figures - all sizes - are great!
I'm impressed with the Enterprise vehicle, though I am still getting accustomed to the large, front-loaded nacelles.
The role playing items - specifically the tricorder and communicator are well done. Overall, they are a fantastic investment!
