Kirk Fu is the coolest fighting ever, if Pine had used it in the new movie, his alternate universe Kirk might have won more fights.

Too bad there's no chance of seeing the game CBS Sci-Fi vs. Capcom-the we could all play Captain Kirk vs. anybody from Capcom, including Ryu.

The trick of course is to be strong enough to make those hits (including the finishing move) count. With my physique, I could not pull it off. :(

This is missing my favorite move which I always referred to as the "Star Trek Takedown" or "the Shat." You punch the opponent in the gut, and when they bow over, you bring both fists down onto their back. Someone up there referred to it as the "Double-ax handle."

I noticed there was no flip over his shoulder.

But I also noticed there are some shows where you can clearly see the stunt man take over. The stuntmen often look nothing like Shatner.

But my favorite is the killer laugh that Bones used. If you go bakc to the episode where Jack the Ripper alien thing takes over Scotty....I think the title was Wold in the Fold....if you watch at the end when Kirk does his classic over the shoulder back flip, watch Bones. He's sittting there with arms folded, laughing. I noticed it on a screencaps section, when looking for pictures for drawing.

I would bet that the lenghty "Shore Leave" fight between Kirk and the very Irish Finnegan was some kind homage to the lengthy fight across the Irish landscape between John Wayne and Victor McLaglen in 1952's "The Quiet Man."
