He’s not in the movie. I see no reason for him to go out of his way to promote it or schmooze to any great degree.
People need to realize he’s doing just fine without it.

As a fan of the series, I don’t feel Mr. Shatner owes me anything.

Well, the entire feud was silly to begin with. Who cares if you get an invitation to a former co-worker’s wedding or not?

And considering the fact that the voters of California forced Takei to get a divorce against his will a few months later any way, why does he even care about Shatner (a Canadian)?

Shatner wasn’t the one who wrecked Takei’s wedding.

Shatner has not been “hating” on Takei. Takei goes out of his way to bash Shatner in every interview he does…And Shatner was obviously poking fun at the situation in that clip.

I’m sure there are many pictures of Shatner and Takei embracing each other at conventions as well. That doesn’t mean love is in the air.

It’s more of a “lets not fight in front of the kids” moment :)

Some of you guys can never be pleased. Shatner has nothing but good to say about the cast, crew, and movie, and said it looks “Great” after seeing the trailer…And yet you’re complaining because he never went out of his way to visit the set during filming????

#88: I wasn’t comparing the movies; I was comparing the numbers. Currently (this may change a lot in the next couple of weeks, of course) Borat is a closer example. Time will tell if it stays that way.
