I was fortunate to see and shake hands with Mr. Nimoy this past weekend
out of all places a Star Trek convention . I ve never been to one but wanted to see someone that I admired as a child and adult. After see him and hearing him speak ; he is truely a class act. I know that people think these conventions are cheesy and these actor are soley out for the money.
I sincerely, believe that Leonard Nimony doesn’t need the money, but is genuine and enjoys enriching peoples lives. I really enjoyed the event it was done very orderly, I glad Leonard Nimoy chooses to be a good will embassador. God Bless You , thank you again . Jp

How come Mr. Nimoy was not asked specifically about “the destruction of Vulcan”?

I just can’t imagine that he would be in the movie without approving of this particular part of the story line.

I am very curious.

Greatly enjoyed the movie and your interview. Couldn’t agree more with Mr. Nimoy (open mind) but, being a (15%) traditionalist – guess what – still enjoyed it. Nice casting and tieing into old charactors. God bless you all.

I’ve loved Star Trek since I watched the first episode on Sept. 8, 1966 (I was 9). Haven’t followed every venture of the franchise episode for episode… but I did go to see this movie and I liked it. A venerable old Spock and a very, very good new Spock – life is good, and Star Trek lives!

Having sat through what seemed like hours of trailers for upcoming “action” movies, each more violent than the last… I kind of take it that the destruction of Vulcan and Romulus are the price of admission to play on the big screen in 2009. But despite that, I felt that this movie has the “soul of Star Trek” and that Gene Roddenberry would have approved. Thumbs up in this little corner of the quadrant :o)

Thank you for the interview and the years of enjoyment. I just saw the movie and I agree that it did indeed reenergize the franchise. I thought it was brillant. It has made for infinent possiblites and I can’t wait!

I hope we see more of your Spok along with the new actors. Well done! For any fan -go see the movie

The film is a masterpiece, the relationship bettween Spock and his father is realy touching.
P.S.
I had a revelation during the film, that Vulcan emotions are deeper than humans. The Vucan heart is indeed warm.

Really looking forward to the new Star Trek film. Back in the day, I wrote several letters to NBC asking them to save the show. I had such a crush on Captain Kirk, not just for his looks, but his character… and I still do. The new Kirk is cute, but I know I’m going to miss seeing Bill Shatner. Thanks for the great interview.
