Zoe is part latina. Which has created a wonderful mix. And I find her delightful beyond her physical appearance. Which is lovely no doubt.

Also I believe her about the Trekkies, she hasn’t had much experience and is looking forward to it. And she is a self confessed geek girl. Loving sci fi and fantasy.

44 sure she is hot but not to anyone white. I know kirk kissed her in that one episode but he was under the influence of some alien gods if I recall. and what about her coming from africa, this actress looks black american and not at all african I can see some race mixing in her ancestry.

I admit maybe someone white can get it up to a black girl out of lust but not from thinking they are hot to a white person. Anyone white (most trekkies) don’t really think this actress is hot. Anyways Uhuru still just the telephone operator so this doesn’t really break down racial barriers… even if she gets together with spock (wheres tuvok when you need him?)

What’s not to admire about TRUE Star Trek fans? I BELIEVE HER! <3

I’m really glad to hear that she REALLY understands Uhura and Spock (maybe even better than the writers), and that she was concerned over how fans would react to the Uhura/Spock relationship.

I am concerned too, but really looking forward to how it plays out, and vicariously putting myself in Spock’s place. <3 <3 <3

Wait a minute- where the heck is the rank??!! That’s going to bug the T’Khut out of me. Regardless of canon, I do like internal logic and consistency. Grrr.

I am intrigued by the U/S stuff; reminds me of issues of Grup magazine from the 70s. Ok that was usually K/S, but on occasion the good LT had to help her First Officer out with an unexpected bout of Pon Farr.

I am willing to bet Zoe soothes the plak tow…
