So, are you recommending the DVD box set or the Blu Ray box set?
And it was not clear if TMP is the director’s cut version with the new CG special effects or if it is the original version?
Personally, I think the mistakes they made in The Final Frontier make it not wirth getting the Blu Ray,unless there is a way to fix it. Perhaps changing some settings on the TV will fix the errors?

OK…they have indeed gone over the top with DNR and skin looks very waxy in some shots, but some of you go far too far…one comment above even claims there is more detail in the DVD’s. Hogwash! The level of detail on offer on these BD’s over the DVD’s is staggering. I own all the movies on 2 disc special editions and now own them all again on Blu-ray…there is just no contest as to which gets the spin if I fancy watching a Trek film. That’s not to say I don’t hope they tone down the digital jiggery pokery when they come to do the director’s cuts HD transfers (inevitable)….but in the meantime, I’ll keep watching in HD.

David, I doubt it, that pack should be a repackaging of the the existing 6-pack of TOS movie, plus the TNG movies 4-pack pack that comes out in November, plus the release of Trek 2009 (also in November).

I wonder if the DVD’s will change with the 1-11 box mentioned on the spanish Zonadvd site. Atlhough I can’t read spanish so……..?

I doubt they will but who knows.
