56. I agree. What’s really ashame is fans who want to tear down and diss anyone on this great cast. Chris Pine has shown nothing but class in his interviews and gave a great performance in Star Trek. Congrats to him on launching his career to the next level so well.

I hope all of the cast can do the same. Can’t wait for the sequel!

12. Yup, and so it begins… Soon Pine will be counting Kirk’s lines of dialogue and chiseling away at the supporting cast’s parts to enchance his own part and Cho and Pegg and Saldana will be dissing Pine in public. Who said time travel and alternate universes are fanciful? ; )

Careful my dear. That savors strongly of bitterness…

I have to say that I went into this movie not expecting much out of Pine, but he was the actor aside from Quinto I was most impressed by. I think he caught the essence of Kirk without falling back on imitation, but he still managed to throw in some of that old swagger, especially at the ending.

That said, I would love to see him more settled into his role as a starship captain in the next film.
