Here is the email I sent Playmates a month or so ago and their response.

***************
I was wondering if there are any plans on offering the U.S.S. Enterprise
Bridge pieces that were to be included with the second wave of Action
Figures that never were released?
I think it would be very cool if you could offer these somehow, perhaps
a store exclusive, so that consumers could complete the Bridge as
advertised on the packaging.
**************

Response from them:

Playmates Toys had been trying to come up with several alternative ways
to continue distributing our Star Trek brand of toys to our consumers.
Unfortunately, we have been unable to come up with additional
distribution options and have discontinued the Star Trek line. The Star
Trek line was cancelled before the second wave was actually produced,
therefore I don't have any samples to send to you. Playmates sincerely
apologizes for any inconvenience this has cause you or your family.
We truly appreciate your support and hope you will continue supporting
Playmates Toys and Star Trek in the future.

Thank you & Regards, Paula Billingsley

Having collected all the 12" movie figures i'm bitterly disappointed that the line was scrapped before Scotty and Uhura were released!
Now I have a crew with no 'red shirts' ...that's just not right!

I NEED these! You HAVE to tell playmates to release the 3&3/4s at least so I can complete my bridge set. I live in NZ. We never got the First wave's bridge sets! They were meant to sent booster packs here with the second wave so we could catch up and add them to the bridge! That'll never happen now! I really want Kirk and Sulu in their mining suits, that'd be sooo kool.

I HAVE to contact them!

I love the design for Kirk/Sulu in 'Space Uniform! I would have liked to see Olson be released in that uniform too! (You always need a red shirt to dispose of!)

it's a shame that they can't even schedule a limited release. the reason pre-orders were so bad for wave 2 was due to the vender playmates chose; the paints on the 3&3/4 inch scale figures were atrocious! you'd find a spock with good eyebrows and hair line, but then his pin would look like a blob of silver paint was just dabbed onto it . at target once, all the 3&3/4 inch kirk action figures had different facial expressions; not one of the 10 or so kirk head's were alike. :D who would want to order figures when they were under the impression that they could & would be cherry picking series 2 at the local tru, walmart or target in nov of '09?

playmates dropped the ball big time on this. sell the rights. i agree with dean burns; a hasbro gi joe quality 3&3/4 inch star trek wave as expansive as the star wars lines would be amazing!

No confirmation in place... however... Toys R Us cancelled their orders on the line (second phase) back in the late summer when phase 1 sold terribly... Wal Mart cancelled shortly thereafter... Entertainment Earth announced they would be exclusive carriers (semi exclusive anyway) until their orders were terrible as well... forcing Playmates to cancel the entire line...

Sell-off stores have phase 1 (both with and without Enterprise Bonus pieces) but they should be gone soon...

In my opinion, the toys were not great when compared to almost anything else out there in the 3.75" scale or 6" scale... and sold dismally at the retail level. (the 12" scale were pretty good, but that scale sells few and far between anyway)...

What I wouldn't give for a set of Star Trek figures of the design quality that Hasbro pulls off with Star Wars year after year... (for the 3.75" scale at least)...
