I just ordered mine, too.

BTW, for those asking about a complete soundtrack for ST III (all the original tracks, nothing omitted), I suggest you try Google. You'll find it if you know how to search for such things.

This is great news and I will be ordering as soon as I have any money to spare. I always wondered why the amount of tracks on the 1982 CD seemed so low.

Can anyone tell me if this is available in the UK directly or just from FSM?

Thanks.

Wow! Great news.... \o/

Two scores I'd sell my soul for:
the complete ST 5: THE FINAL FRONTIER score, and the complete ST9: INSURRECTION, with the final showdown as heard in the film included, not the fake one on the GNP album.

Figures....

I decide to check one more time and just now a charge appeared on my credit card (as of yesterda). Yay! My apolgoies for the grouchy posts. I'm too anxious for a "silly" soundtrack. Since I'm going on a road trip this weekend, I was actually hoping it would be here by Friday.

Sorry and thanks.

We're now at the three day mark and my order is still pending and no charge against my credit card. Once again I must say I'm not so happy with the "immediate" processing and shipping.

#138 – LOL, but interesting note about transferring the 1" 32-trk. Since there are probably numerous reels considering the amount of takes and number of cues, you would have only baked the reels you needed. Works for me. But the fact you had to bake them only tells me that these reels need to be transferred and preserved sooner rather than later. I'll bet the 2" analogue 24-trk has held up better. Viva la safety!

As far as SACD goes, it is really too bad that the mp3 appeared as early as it did, or the SACD might have done for audio what Blu-Ray has done for the DVD. But for some reason, people do not hear as well as they see. Very sad. Indeed, thanks to the ever evolving compression schemes and the dominance of MP3s and iPods, SACD will likely never happen in any popular way. It's too bad really. Eventually when storage, band-width and download speeds improve and costs drop higher quality audio may re-emerge on the consumer stage simply because they can for no additional cost, and for a lot of music it will be too late. But I imagine yet another replacement of ones audio collection down the road, but probably not until there is a much more elegant format than SACD or BD.
