We all know that Frakes would love to direct a TNG film again. LeVar has also proven himself as a director. I think if those two went to the powers-that-be with a movie proposal of some sort, we might see something happen. Trek is hot again, after all. I would imagine the best way to get Stewert and Spinner involved again would be to have either Burton or Frakes as director. Hell, even Stewart might one to direct one!

I don’t really put TNG in the same boat as VOY, DS9, and ENT. The Next Generation was the true successor to TOS. I liked DS9, and the other two shows had their moments, but only TNG cried out “movies!” to me. I always suspected that there would be 6 TNG movies, and am still disappointed that only 4 were made. Making two more films seems like a no-brainer, since there is a huge fan base.

Panasonic and Sony make wonderful blu ray players. I’m a bit partial to Panasonic myself.

I also hope many will buy the Star Trek BB gift set with the pins. Maybe 2 or 3 so they can keep one sealed too? : )

I’ll be getting the blu ray, but don’t really have much interest in the pin set. Very cool set, but just not my thing.
