It was the *custody* records of their son Alex, that at the recommendation of the guardian ad litem, the agreement of both Jeri and Jack, and the judge of the custody case in 1999 sealed them.

The newspaper Chicago Tribune sued to open the custody records in 2004, that’s what did it. It contained (unproven) accusations made during the custody case, that were later withdrawn. However, the accusations were salacious. Judge for yourself:
