Not at all, man, not at all. But now that they’re able to have the money for some of these productions, they can afford all the things that weren’t attainable due to low budgets (like how Gene Roddenberry always intended for Kligons to have ridges but the budget never would’ve allowed it). so, it’s not that everything from the past is ‘wrong’, it’s now the ideas of the past can be fully realized.

besides, i think it’s a distraction for movie make-up to be pealing or ‘fake’ looking…sorry, that’s just me…

so once again everything in the past was wrong.

The look of the ridges was fine, JJ did not have to change them.

I think everyone wants so much realism these days that it takes the fun out of things.

What I get from this site is just bitching about the Treks we grew up with. Has the Trek been forgotten just because of this one movie?

I like these Klingons because they look more realistic and detailed. Enough with the giant scrambled egg foreheads, Arkansas Bob fake teeth and the Andy Rooney eyebrows already. And it’s about time the Klingon Empire got some new uniforms. They’ve been wearing the same clothes for a couple hundred years.

New era, new designs. As far as I’m concerned the makers of these new films can change whatever they like. For me, Star Trek is words on pages and the TV/film incarnations interpretations of the words.

Like the Klingon designs and couldn’t give two hoots whether they ‘contradict’ anything. Just you wait: there’ll probably be an extended release Blu-ray right before the sequel hits cinemas!

@ 87…I think everyone likes the new Klingons because they mark a point between the TOS Klingons (no ridges) and the TNG Klingons (with ridges)…there has to be a point where they stopped being human looking and started to start looking like ridged up TNG guys…

…although personally I like the new looking Klingons, in TNG they did begin to get a little farsicle!

It was NOT fake looking.

Here they should have the smooth heads due to the era.

Sorry along with TOS, TNG is my fav show so i find it hurtful that all everyone does here is bitch about the Trek I grew up watching, yet JJ can do no wrong.

JJ did a few things that drove me crazy but I stil enjoyed the film. I still love what came from the past as well,

If Worf had this new look I’d scream.
