Of course, I was mostly being facetious in my previous post, though I don’t at all agree that Vulcan is “expendable”. My interest in the variant Abramsverse imploded right along with Vulcan in ST09. I just thought it ironic how many ways Vulcan’s been targeted in high-profile Trek projects in the last few years.

Have they explained the whole concept of dying and respawning? I don’t see how they’re going to manage it within a Star Trek type universe unless cloning is involved like Star Wars Galaxies (and that was a big realistic stretch too).

Thus if your just sitting there and when being invaded or destroyed all you say is why Us. Thats the whole problem, about every Mammal life form and I think any Reptilian life form unless you have shown you can whip their ass in a fight, your not more dangerous than a marsh-mellow and willing to get roasted in the fire of battle.

Just look at Earths history, you do not even need to go back more than 25 years, just look at looking like whimps in Black Hawk Down and the Terrorist problem today. All you would have needed was a few Napalm Grenades. If those pre-terrorist had gone running away on fire they would have second thoughts.

Being Pacifist may gain friends faster but it also invites People wanting to concur and kill you even faster. Killing is not good but sometimes it is needed, or the words ‘Don’t Mess With US’ are only words with no power to back them up with.

Pacifism is a good idea, but it only works if 110% of the Universe is Pacifists also.

I can just see the Vulcans sitting there, shaking their heads, and saying, “All of this is quite illogical. After all, what did our society ever do to the rest of the universe, let alone the writers?”
