Not to be takeing sides or anything but America IS in a pre-sociallistic society where the government needs money to get what they want. This has noting to do with Democrats and Republicans but is it not true that The gavernment in general is being greedy? I find it amuseing that they are haveing second thought about health care since they were fast to approva a stimulus that would have made every America rich! This isn’t against Obama or Bush but it is against the sociallistic ideology that America has begun to adopt and no one has really taken a stand. In Star Trek they did in fact have a semi-perfect utopian society but with introducions of scocietys of the Borg altered that. It then became a semi-democratic scociety where they had second guesses on everything. In the end I’m saying that sociallisim is a bad path and if America continues down it’s path it could end up just like Germany! And everyone said it couldn’t happen to Germany also…

Knowledge is power but it is not an absolute power, where we all know, corrupts absolutely.

I wonder, would the “hunter and gathering” type of society be re-instated once we reach the ability to travel the stars?

Would we use both systems? What would change if we depended on our wits in deep space to survive? Would we tolerate some of the outlandish ideas as we have in modern times or would it be more strict?

The best I can say is try not to aim the statements directly, a better way is to phrase your statements so the reader must do some thinking to understand what was meant. The only flaw is they need a brain to think with. And from some comments here I have wonders about that at times.

Now for Dene’s views on money, he highly disliked having incentives based on profit. In the23rd Century we’ed evolved past that point. What replaced money was the desire for humanity to aim for IQ improvement. The better you helped others get smarter or healther, the beter things came to you. I admit this is a far left dream, all I can say is we may need genetic help to alter humanities desire to move from $$$ to IQ.

Personally myself I do not dislike the dumb, I try to teach them what they do not know or understand. But if the seem to not even try to learn, I take the view that you can count their brain cells on your fingers.

What is most valued around the World about Star Trek is that it shows that their can be a non Atomic gloom for humanity. Fewer realize that it is all based of IQ gives you a better future. Unlike the current aim of you’re going to be our puppets and depend on us as your Smart Masters.
