In my opinion, Nero was a throwaway villain just like Kruge and Ru'afo. In the film, he wasn't smart or cunning, he was just some crazy SOB whose appeal was derived more from outside sources (comic books) than the actual storyline in which he engaged the protagonists. I'll have to pick up the issue and see if they say anything about Chang. Now THAT was a great villain.
