I ordered the book from the UK. It contains interesting images and information, but it’s somewhat thin and lacking in text. It would’ve been better if they had included the original screenplay as well.

I agree with some of what is said above, the aliens look great–for Star Wars. Definatly not from the Star Trek Universe.

This book looks absolutely fantastic. I love the art of the film stuff. Give you a much better idea of what could have been. It’s surprising how most of these aliens really did not seem apparent in the final cut of the film.

As for them not looking like Star Trek aliens, that is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Are we really supposed to limit the world of alien creatures in Star Trek to humans with nose ridges, pointed ears, or colored skin. The only reason Star Trek has not featured exotic aliens in the past is budget. Star Trek’s art directors have come up with fantastic aliens before that never saw the light of day because Star Trek has never had the budget it now does.

Hopefully, Paramount will continue to give JJ and company the means $$$ to demonstrate the limitless possibility and diversity of Trek’s alien universe.
