Shatner’s Raw Nerve Season 2 Premieres December 6

Last year, TrekMovie renamed the month of December "Shatcember" because our favorite Bill Shatner appeared in various forms of media all month. Now, it appears, that Shatcember shall return as it was just announced that season 2 of Shatner’s popular "Raw Nerve" interview show premieres on December 6th, 2009. More details and guest line-up below.

maybe he will have JJ on..

Maybe the Shat should go up against himself…as Captain Kirk.

Ah Shat, you deserve better guests than this boatload of losers.

Since when was Meatloaf EVER a loser, #3? Huh? Why doesn’t he have YOU as a guest, you’re so frakking special, huh? Yeah, you’re obviously less of a loser than Meatloaf or Gene Simmons or Whoopi Goldberg…. *rolls eyes*

Rush and the Shat. Hmmm. Scotty. Beam me up. No Intellengent life here. The Shat and the Fonze. Aaaaaaa. The Shat and Weird Al. Who is more Weird. The Shat and Flint. Who is the real Womaniser. or is it John Edwards. Hmm Maybe John was trying to be like the Shat. Didn’t work though.Hmm mAybe they all can appear on jerry Springer. Jerry! Jerry! Jerry!! Jerry!!!

Well, your opinion aside. I don’t think you really get the point of Raw Nerve. This isn’t a show to plug products, it’s to talk to interesting people. Shatner mentioned that he’d be happy to have people who aren’t famous at all sometimes.

Those people aren’t A-List celebrities, they’re people who probably have an interesting story to tell.

FINALLY. i love raw nerve. it’s had a very long break.

Ok. Shat. Watch Star Trek 2009 and then give us your take.

To be perfectly diplomatic here, I just wish that people would stop telling Shat to go and watch Trek 09. I saw it, and I kinda wish I didn’t…a week after I first saw it, after the hype in me died down. Shat can watch whatever the hell he wants. So he’s being stubborn? Big deal. Let him. He’s the frakking SHAT!

John Edward? The psychic douchebag guy? I’ll skip that one.

Awesome! Congratulations Mr. Shatner! And here I didn’t even know that there was a season one that aired on TV.

Does this air before or after the adverts for the ShamWow! and SlapChop!-?

*I’m jk.*

Wish I could get this.
Ah well… Best, Bill!

I haven’t seen this show. Has he had Harlan Ellison on yet? If not, why?

#10 – I knew you were going to say that.

John Edward. is that the so called Psycic. Or is that the former Presedent contender. or does it realy matter.

yeh, yeh, get Harlan on the show!

I’ve tried many times to watch all/most of the episodes on Raw Nerve. I’ve seen a total of 4. Never saw the Nimoy show.
It only allows you to watch certain ones at YOUR convienence..and thus most of the season 1 have never seen.

Deathmatch with George Takei!!!

Ok I’m watching The Shat and Weird Al! Rush Limbaugh will be cool too!

@3

Who are you calling a boat load of loosers? These are actors and it’s interesting to watch. The first episde was weird but others were good like Tim Allen. I’m watching Whoopie, Rush and Weird Al!!!

Think I recall listening to Rush ’bout a month ago…it was a Monday when he was doing his show from LA and he said he had spent that Sunday at Bill’s house watching football with some other celebs and friends of Bill’s. Rush didn’t mention being on Raw Nerve, but I do recall him commenting on how big Bill’s TV was as compared to his. I love it, either Bill was being gracious to Rush and having him over for a typical, old fashioned football Sunday or, I would like to think, Bill is a Conservative. I’m sure some of you out there are going to say I’m wrong…because, like most of us Conservatives, I’ve never know him to push his beliefs on other people or use his status to do so. May explain Takei’s problem with him.

Bill, do yourself a favour and be just a little less ‘in awe’ at some of your guests. Its not warranted and is just annoying. Most of then aren’t really all that my friend.

@20,

Actually, it’s been known that The Shat is rather liberal. I mean, c’mon, he’s from Canada; he likes and supports Obama…so far. :P

Bill is really the gracious guy that we believe he is. Takei’s problem with him is that The Shat comes off, a lot, as a pompous egomaniac. While that doesn’t bother me, I sympathize with George Takei about never being able to really bury the hatchet with The Shat.

I mean, even Doohan reconciled with The Shat! Why can’t George?

19 – I’m Brett, and I love Shatner, but I’m calling these guests a boatload of losers — not loosers.

Thanks for asking. Now, in the words of Pete Townshend, just who the f@ck are YOU?!!

4 -Well, I think Meatloaf wouldn’t have me as a guest as he doesn’t have a TV show.

So sorry that my opinion that these are mostly second-rate has-been celebrities got your knickers in such a knot, sweetie. :D

Oh, and God made me frakkin’ special. Thanks for asking.

*Sticks finger down throat and gags at “rolls eyes” comment*

The Shat vs. Rush. Now that could be fun. I love both guys, but its called Raw Nerve for a reason. Hopefully we see some sparks fly.

During Season 1 the Shat had Jon Voigt on Raw Nerve–Voigt is a conservative but the two of them had a great conversation without the kind of animosity we see from our politicians.

Rush should do just as well with the Shat and hopefully people will see a side of him that we don’t see when doing his radio persona–while he truly believes in his conservative values he is not the evil person is often touted as by his opponents and I think Raw Nerve will reveal Rush as a rather normal guy who is intelligent, articulate and passionate about Conservatism.

Rush and Shat should be a good match up and not in the fight ring sense but as two people who can disagree on issues and remain respectful. Many Rush-haters might be pleasantly surprised (not necessarily won over to his politics!).

I think this is a fine batch of guests for RN2. One has to be realistic – this is a cable talk show; the likes of George Clooney and Brad Pitt aren’t going to appear. I look forward to seeing these shows.

That said, I am sort of surprised we didn’t get one of the following: George Takei, JJ Abrams, or Chris Pine.

Really? You know Rush personally???

You’re right, there’s nothing wrong with being passionate about Conservatism. However, there IS something wrong with lying, and with racism. Rush is a proven liar, and a racist bigot. What other side of him do we need to see?

27 – I suppose you are right about that. I just didn’t find any of the lineup particularly interesting, but that was my personal taste or lack of it. The current guests must all have their fans, or they wouldn’t be celebrities.

Happy Russia and Trekluver — I apologize for being snarly and snarky. I hope you enjoy these interviews.

And more power to the Shat for having an interview show, which I have yet to see, but I have heard is quite good.

Ok…I wasn’t expecting this to get into a political debate and I apologize for bringing it up with my earlier post and that I did not expect things to turn to the negative…but, there has always been one thing that I just do not understand about liberals. Why is “the party of compassion, tolerance, understanding and acceptance” the one to call people names such as “proven liar” and “racist bigot” without presenting pacific examples to back-up their claims.

What was, I thought, a great group of positive posts here, obviously from many sides of the political spectrum saying how we were looking forward to what would hopefully turn out to be one of the best eps of Mr. Shatner’s show, had to turn to the negative and…shall I use the word the liberal party uses most to describe conservatives, “hate” filled?

I am sorry this happened.

I’ll watch Weird Rush.

Suggestion for Raw Nerve interview: Bill Murray

#31: I’ll watch, too. Somehow, I can see how those two might get along well.

Ought to have someone on to ask Shatner the tough questions.
When did he start wearing the toupee?
Did he wear a girdle?
How many of the starlets did he sleep with?
How did his wife really die?
