What was, I thought, a great group of positive posts here, obviously from many sides of the political spectrum saying how we were looking forward to what would hopefully turn out to be one of the best eps of Mr. Shatner’s show, had to turn to the negative and…shall I use the word the liberal party uses most to describe conservatives, “hate” filled?

Rush and Shat should be a good match up and not in the fight ring sense but as two people who can disagree on issues and remain respectful. Many Rush-haters might be pleasantly surprised (not necessarily won over to his politics!)

You’re right, there’s nothing wrong with being passionate about Conservatism. However, there IS something wrong with lying, and with racism. Rush is a proven liar, and a racist bigot. What other side of him do we need to see?

That said, I am sort of surprised we didn’t get one of the following: George Takei, JJ Abrams, or Chris Pine.

Rush should do just as well with the Shat and hopefully people will see a side of him that we don’t see when doing his radio persona–while he truly believes in his conservative values he is not the evil person is often touted as by his opponents and I think Raw Nerve will reveal Rush as a rather normal guy who is intelligent, articulate and passionate about Conservatism.
