58. I don't know about anybody else but I don't really hope that Avatar fails. I'm just not very enthusiastic about what I've seen, which looks cliche-ridden and overly misanthropic.

I'm not to high on seeing a Spider-Man 4,5 or 6. I liked the first two, especially #2, but the third one was stupid. Topher Grace pissed me off as Venom. All he did was whine. And I think it might be time to re-cast the characters. And finally, WE DO NOT NEED A VENOM MOVIE!

Re. Spider-Man 4, "casting call for the film looking for a baby boy with red hair, perhaps hinting at Cletus Kasady/Carnage"

Just 'cause they're casting a baby with red hair, you think it has something to do with Carnage? It's a baby! Carnage is a full grown man! I know it's fun to speculate, but come on.

I found Independence Day better than Steven Spielberg's War of The Worlds remake. I didn't think Tom Cruise was very good in it, plus it came out after the infamous "Oprah Winfrey Show Incident" when he jumped on the couch. Man, what a bitch he was.

JMS redoing Forbidden Planet is a fascinating thing to look forward to.

I've always wanted to see more adventures of the C-57D in the command of Commander Adams, and the rest of the trinity of First Officer Farman, and "Doc".

Even if Roddenberry lifted it all to create Star Trek. Since JMS had some interesting ideas on reimagining Star Trek, he can take a shot at those same ideas with the original characters. Should be... fascinating.

Everything Emmerich does makes money but has the rotting stench of a dead possum on a back road in the middle of summer. God, I hate that man's movies.

His whole schtick is summed up per the phrase "there's no script yet". There never is; he just finds an old script and changes a few things (e.g., Independence Day is a transparent re-write of George Pal's WAR OF THE WORLDS).

I'd bet a lot of people are hoping that Avatar fails miserably. Despite the fact that James Cameron films make a lot of money and never (so far) flop at the box office. It's just a feeling I have. Personally, I hope Avatar is good.

His Terminator films are absolute classics as well as Aliens, while Titanic after making a billion dollars, just hasn't held up as well over the years. I used to love that movie, now I can't stand it. Too weepy. Too long. Even though people will always be obsessed with the real Titanic, the movie would bomb today.

" I hope Nathan Lane pays homage to the great John Astin."

But who am I kidding? Nathan Lane just plays Nathan Lane IMO, much of the time.
