Merry Christmas to you! Thanks for the awesome editorial.

5. Hat Rick - December 25, 2009

To the cast and crew of, I convey the best wishes and glad tidings of the season. Were it not for you, the state of Trek in 2009 would not be what it is now.

There are those who celebrate this day in worship of what they consider the son of God, and we know that in Trek lore, religion persists. Even Christianity.

But whatever our religion, whatever our creed, there are sacred truths — peace on Earth and goodwill to all.

If there is a modern myth that those who find rationality more persuasive can hold dear, I find none better than that of Trek, which values our common humanity, our common nature, above all. Whatever our faults, we exist, and that is a fact with which we must deal, for better or for ill.

Trek believes we can do better.

Peace in the Galaxy, and goodwill to all.

6. CmdrR - December 25, 2009

9. Millennium Vulcan - December 25, 2009

That “Christmas” scene from ST:G is my kind of generic holiday. Definitely the most futurist, secularist and Frenchyist “Christmas” ever.

Joy To The World. Make It So.

#22 :: Amen. Life’s no better in your next-door-neighbor state of Nebraska! There are three foot drifts in our backyard, and our neighbor can’t even get out of his houe at the moment. Let’s hope this thing passes through quick.

31. Xai (snowbound) - December 25, 2009

#23 Christine, what part of NE?… Western IA here south of SIoux City. Sounds like this is gonna be with us a day or more yet. A very quiet Christmas here, snowbound. I’ve seen one vehicle total today pass by. Pondering the tricky workings of a transparent aluminum snowshovel.

32. T2 - December 25, 2009

Ah, Trekmas. Beautiful. Merry Christmas!

33. Viking - December 25, 2009

Merry Christmas to all from the foggy, snow-blanketed mountains of Western Maryland!

34. Ceti Alpha 5 - December 25, 2009

35. captain_neill - December 25, 2009

Got The Star Trek TNG movies on blu ray for Christmas and Nick Meyer’s book. Really Awesome.

I agree its been a good year for Trek.. I know I have my gripes with some of the changes in the new movie but it is still a good fun movie and it has made Trek popular again. I know it has got the new watchers to go back to see the other cool stuff from Trek.

Merry Christmas to all

36. Christine - December 25, 2009

#31, Xai :: The big “O”, my friend… Central Eastern Nebraska is where I live. In a big city. :3 The plows get by my house fairly well, ’cause it’s a school bus route and by a major street, but people are stuck everywhere. The winds are crazy here!

And my mom has a friend in Sioux City; he called and said it was pretty bad there. Seems like everything north of Mizzou got slammed with snow.

37. Will_H - December 25, 2009

Merry Christmas and a prosperous new years to all.

38. xai - December 25, 2009

#36 Christine, Understood. Don’t envy either of us. I live in the country and hiked up a quarter mile to the nearby highway. Ugh. Very little traffic, snowpack with ice beneath. Winds at 40 mph +. Visibility sucks. Just as likely to see a snowmobile as a truck right now. Stay warm.

39. NotAVulcanButWantsToBe - December 25, 2009

Merry Christmas everyone. From a very windy and rainy(?) part of Michigan. Atleast the snow is gone…. For now.

Does visiting this site count as research?

Tough question. Unless your only following the Harlan Ellison stories on trekmovie, then i would have to say… no.

but as michael scott would say “Trick question. Because you can’t always tell, so how would I know? Was that the right answer?”
