FACT – In europe these clowns are being taken to the cleaners for trade discription acts. It is against the law in Europe to pretend a product has xyz and you find out it does not. The statements on the tin are misleading and completely wrong.
FACT – This game is near death, very low population levels, the reason the devs are still making content is because they need to make their money back somehow.

FACT – this company (Cryptic) should never ever have been allowed near the franchise, same thing should and could apply to CBS.

Maybe thats why many people left this game, maybe thats why there are so many negative people talking about the game.

You are buying something called a game that is not fit for end sale. No wonder a lot of UK stores wont touch this game. Id hate to be selling it too.

And while I am at it, who deleted my very valid post? STO is without doubt garbage. No content and buy me cryptic points to get the game components to play.

Please think before spouting rhetoric about this game, if it can even be called as such. It lacks content, it lacks anything. But then it also has the c-store where you can buy game breaking items, you know the kind that should be available to your character in game without having to pay money for it?

The game is a rip off. If you based in europe you pay even more for it than american / canadian subscribers. Yup garbage for the masses and people will continue to pay for those craptic points.

It is little references like this that really make the game worth it.

yes the game has a lot of fighting.. its an MMO. In fairness it does have exploration missions where you are trying to find things and the very occassional negotiation mission. For instance you will be asked to solve some unrest on a mining colony, the real objective being to REMEMBER what the five mining groups were each complaining about, and report it.

my main gripe is that with promotion I’m forced to move out of my nice Constitution class and now have to drive a Stargazer mash-up that has too many nacelles.

CRYPTIC: You need to advertise for fanbase assistance for future in-game episodes. You have one of the most dedicated fanbases in history to draw from!

The first thing that occurred to me while watching the Doomsday Machine segment was, “Why are all those ships firing on each other with that thing hanging there next to them??”

Then, when I realized they were damaging it by firing on its hull, I started thinking, “Um.. they can’t damage it like that! WTF?”

But when it finally lost all its HP and started breaking up, all I could think was, “Have these people even SEEN Star Trek?”

Self-destructing an entire starship inside it didn’t blow it up, just left it a lifeless hulk floating through space.

1. The gameplay looks FANTASTIC.

2. The Guardian’s voice is EFFING HORRIBLE. It sounds like they got one of the programmers to step into the booth. With all the voice talent I’m sure they had filing through that place, they could have at least used a professional.
