but to me I liked the spin offs as much as I love TOS, and they are all in the same universe for me, only the new movie is separate.

No problems with Venkman being a ghost in the next GB movie. It could be a lot of fun. I mean Venkman’s hardly going to be popular with other ghosts, is he?

I don’t think the movie will kill him off (and I won’t judge anything about GB including claims and denials by cast and crew until it hits cinemas) the wat Kirk was killed in Generations. That movie was done with a simple agenda: to put a bullet in the head of the original Star Trek. The disrespectful treatment of Star Trek in that film exemplified the TNG senior team’s sneering attitude to the original Star Trek: that their version was somehow ‘purer’ and ’superior.’

Personally, I consider TNG to be a different quantum reality from that of TOS, the same as ST09 is separate from the other timelines.

For me, the last time we saw Jim and the TOS crew, it was in TUC. In Generations, it was the TNG universe’s versions of Kirk, Scotty and Chekov we saw. And, outside of spinoff literature like Countdown, which was written to appease disgruntled TNG fans, there’s no information as to whether Spock Prime is the one from TOS or TNG.

#65- I agree that Joe Jonas is too young for the part of Superman,but you know, maybe later on in life as he grows older and taller and stronger,he’ll have all the experience (and the acting chops and lessons he needs to take) that he can be mature and taken seriously enough as an actor. Please just give the guy a chance to live out his dreams of being a superhero and an actor in Hollywood and see how extremely talented this kid really is.

I think Joe Jonas is too young for the part, but I am in total agreement that Brandon Routh is a bad choice. What I’d like to see, is for Tom Welling (Smallville) graduate to that role as Superman, from Clark Kent. His appearance favors Christopher Reeves somewhat, and his acting skills seem to be wonderful.

I think that Joe Jonas has the looks,charisma ,and talent to play the Man Of Steel.
