Zoe looks beautiful in her dress. I was expecting Tyler Perry in a dress, as well! Oh well…

Zoe looks a lot better in a red mini skirt :)

Zoeeeeeeee!!!!

She looks fantastic from the waist up, but I’m not sure about the rest of that dress….

#2: Of course she does, but she looks good no matter what. ;)

I hope Avatar takes best picture but I think that Hurt Locker should take best director, that movie was incredible.

If Trek doesn’t win SOMETHING I’ll go insane!

@7: “If Trek doesn’t win SOMETHING I’ll go insane!”

Why? The film is a success, a sequel is coming and everyone is happy (NOT ME!). What happens tonight won’t change any of that. Rest assured, Trek is recognized

She is a beautiful girl but that dress does her no justice. At all.

I hate how Saldana’s the only Trek star getting much attention. She totally ruined Uhura and was the only part of the film I hated. She’s only getting attention because she was in Avatar, which doesn’t deserve to get any awards.

Chris Pine is awesome!

I don’t like Zoe’s dress. The glitter part and the purple part are not working together. And the quillings (?) below look also strange.

@ # 10: Stop hating

I don’t know much about women’s fashion, but are those giant purple frilly tribbles on the bottom of Zoe’s dress? ;)

Oh, and Helen Mirren for T’Pau in Trek XI!

STAR TREK WINS !!!!!!

woohoo!!! finally!

Not bad considering a majority of their work was deleted. Heck, they used deleted footage in the montage.

yay best makeup

YEEEES!!! FIST OSCAR!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Oscar winning Trek!!!

Trek just won BEST MAKE UP!!!!!

Fascinating. BTW, ‘Star Trek XI’ won an Oscar for best make-up. In the immortal words of Lt. Commander Data: “Yes! Mmf!”

The Eagle has landed!

Congrats to the makeup folks, and … sympathies to Zoe. What is that thing?

^^It’s purple.

Speaking of star trek makeup… Can I paint Zoe’s uniform on for the next movie please? :P

DAMN AVATAR!!! STAR TREK DESERVED TO WIN SPECIAL EFFECTS

YAY!! Glad they won at least one!! The makeup was incredible!

Chris Pine is looking mighty fine there.

It’s rather interesting that Christopher Plummer was on the same red carpet as Christopher Pine, given that Plummer played the bad guy in ST VI who, in the Prime Timeline, fights Pine’s character in what was supposed to be the final movie with James T. Kirk.

Alpha and omega and all that interesting stuff.

Is Zoe sick? Shes soooo thin

Star Trek would have won SFX if they’d used a connie

Pine looking slick

Zoe should eat something more and her dressing is not the best. She looks better in uniform ^^

where was zachary quinto last night???

Once again americans vote for a war movie..yeeechhhhhh…I hated Killing Private Ryan and double goes for The Hurt Locker! I’m glad the dude whose’ life it’s based on is suing the producers for not getting any compensation, and I hope they bankrupt all the films profits! ALWAYS scifi films NEVER win Best Film! Trek was robbed as well as Avatar.

Admiral Madea!!!!!

#37 Avatar was NOT robbed for best picture. I’m petty sick and tired of this whole notion that Avatar should or could win best picture. It’s a VISUALLY innovative film, it’s the first of it’s kind VISUALLY, the VISUALS were created using state of the art tech. That does not mean it’s the best film of the year. The story was not nearly as compelling as The Hurt Locker nor was the acting. Remember when The Return of the King won 11 Oscars including best picture (I think)? Well that was an example of SFX and amazing acting from heavy weight actors coming together perfectly. Avatar didnt do that. Avatar is great to look at, and it’s got great story elements but again, it’s a visual orgasm, not a “best picture” kind of movie. 10years or 20years down the line, people will look back and understand that finally.

p.s. that’s why I dont think Star Trek should have been nominated for best picture. If JJ had used everything that he did in the film, but the story and tone was more along the lines of Star Trek VI, then I think it would’ve definitely been nominated. Congrats on the first Oscar win for Trek though! I wish it had gotten VFX but Avatar rightfully deserved it.

@ #14 Funniest thing i’ve heard today, no lie. Thank you for making my day lol :D

@#14 You would think that her dress would be some tribble.

Chris Pine looks so fine! :D

lo unico que se me viene a la cabeza es ¿por q no fue zachary quinto? si él tambien era protagonista de star trek, me hubiera encantado q vaya , ¿alguien me puede explicar por q ?

ALL THE STAR TREK ACTORS SHOULD WIN OSCARS THEY DESERVE IT FROM SHATNER, STEWART,BROOKS,KATHERINE MULGREW, SCOTT BAKULA TO PINE STAR TREK DESERVES ALL THE AWARDS!!!!!!!
