I see some of your points on continuity, but as for Joe Adama. Uh, being a ‘wuss’ is a consistent continuity point. Lose half your family and see how ‘badass’ you are. A little depression and withdrawal makes sense. As for the other bit: You take any 40 something guy and have him chase a teen and see who gets who and who gets away (unless a tazer is involved) ; )

There is ‘badass’ and then there is ‘badass at 40′ or (50, 50, et.al. )

I’m still on board with Caprica despite a few of the issues mentioned. I think it is a worthy successor (precessor?) to BSG.

The storytelling on “Caprica” seems to be all over the place. For example, several early episodes focused on Sam Adama teaching Willie Adama to be a badass Tauron, but this has gone away, as if it never existed. Then there was Sam’s ridiculous kidnapping of Amanda Greystone, which seemed to shake her up a little, but then was completely forgotten. And Joseph Adama has suffered the most: In the pilot, he was truly badass, but the series has crippled him with each passing episode, and he’s become such a complete *wuss* that he can’t even chase down the kid who said Tamara was still alive, and last week featured him stumbling through the v-world like a blind man. I want to see the badass Joseph Adama as he was described in BSG. I don’t know what the frell I’m watching in “Caprica.”

And I wish they would just shut up and start mass-producing Cylons, which should be the *real* stars of this show.

So many storylines are competing for attention that I can’t keep them straight, let alone remember them all. The petulant “Zoe inside the Cylon” has been dragged out for so long that I don’t care about her anymore. We need a better explanation for her silence than the reason given a couple of weeks ago: “I’ve decided not to make my presence known” or some such drenn.

I’m really looking forward to “SGU” returning in a few weeks when “Caprica” goes on hiatus. And unless the second half “Caprica’s” first season totally blows me away, then I can’t imagine ever wanting or needing to purchase the DVDs. The show is less than mediocre compared with BSG.

# 23, I am not attempting to join any smear campaign but honestly I cannot stand her acting or the way her character is written. What the heck was that dancing in the wedding dress moment a few episodes back? I’m so glad my wife didn’t walk in and see me watching that or I’d probably have to stop watching out of embarrassment.

That’s what the trailer looks like, at the very least. Less “ZOMG DRAMAZ” and more blow stuff up. Frankly, if they went to a more SG1-style format, I’d be happy, because there was nothing wrong with that formula and as long as the actors are good they can still spin it and take it in different directions.

Judging by the difference between the S1 trailer and S1.5, there’s a lot more sci-fi elements and action, which I think are welcome. Only “Time” last season really seemed on par with other good sci-fi shows, hopefully the rest of the season will change my opinion.
