Why would they even consider a Ghostbusters 3 if Bill Murray isn’t fully onboard?

–Ghostbusters III has a better chance of succeeding with Ivan Rietman directing and all the Ghostbusters back in substantial roles.
–Ghostbusters is my all time fav movie and I want to see the Ghostbusters I love, not a bunch of young pretty boys who cannot hold a handle to fantastic talents of Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Ernie hudson and I want Annie Potts back Janine.

***I’m not any sort of an expert, but I agree on both points. The subject of ghosts and goblins can be a scary one, but Ghostbusters really puts a hilarious spin on it.

–I wonder why people take this as some kind of big spoiler. Having Peter die and return as a ghost has been around since right after GB2 was released… and that was, like, yet in the 20th. century. :)

***Pre-existing concepts are often modified when implimented on the movie screen. Movies are expensive to make, and I’m sure the people who make them don’t want to spend that kind of money, only to see their hard work fail to bring a positive result. This is one reason why I believe movie makers should always “take the public’s temperature” before moving on with a project. Nothing too spoilerish, but generalized as in a few part-time temps (i.e. kids looking for summer jobs) going out to shopping malls at a kiosk to stop people (not taking any names, but recording statistics among those who are polled) and say on a hypothetical basis, “what would you think if….”. and/or “If this were your project, what would your ideas be?” Professional movie makers are certainly talented peole who can produce quality projects, however their own creativity can sometimes be introverted and might not always help to boost potential for success (i.e. Star Trek: Nemesis). Besides, having the public’s ideas put away for safe keeping can be a valuable tool for jogging other creative ideas down the road in other capacities, perhaps even in other projects.

Loved #2 (especially the statue of liberty. I laughed hard at that one). I think GB 3 could work and work well, if they’ll do it right.

Anthony: Ghostbuters is so popular……if there will be a number 3, do you think the people who are over this project would ever ask you to do another forum (i.e: GBmovie.com, or something?).

The casting for Captain America is down to three and Marvel has offered the role to Chris Evans.

Tim Burton’s involvement with the Adams Family project has been dispelled as rumor by someone close to the director.

Ghostbusters III has to be the worst idea since Ghostbusters II.

Can’t we agree the first is a classic of eighties comedy gold and cheesyness, without having to continually destroy peoples chidhoods.

Dan Akryoyd is not a believable person on this either since he was in that awful film 1941,bad cameo in awful indiana jones prequel, and thought Crystal Numbskull was great.

Hoping that the Planet of the Apes sequel will be a HUGE improvement over the “first” film; which was terrible & nothing close to the 1968 classic.

Preditor is going to be sweet like always. Ghostbusters 3 will be awsome i just wish the did it like 10 years ago!!! I remember being 6 years old and getting ghostbuster toys proton pack and all that cool stuff. Cant wait for 3!!!

“Ghostbusters III is a disaster waiting to happen. The problem isn’t the director, it’s the plot and it started it’s downhill trip right after the announcement was leaked that Peter Venkman will be killed off.”
