what about a comic series based around Peter Kirk? we never really got much about him outside TOS “Operation: Annihilate”, and a few novels here and there.

Picard-Stargazer and a Capt Garrett are both great ideas. Jeez, they could totally get away with like 10 stand-alones.

@4: I haven’t read the Lost Era book either, but I did just start reading “The Captain’s Daughter” by Peter David, which touches on the same time period, and Harriman is a major character. He’s… a seriously messed-up dude. Lots of fun to read about, though. I highly recommend it.

I’d like to see a Captain Garrett issue. We don’t know much about the Enterprise-C apart from its legendary battle at Narendra III. Or a Captain Riker issue. I think a “Titan” series would do well.

@3: The Lost Era novel (”Serpents Among the Ruins”) is one of my all-time FAVORITE Trek novels. Romulan intrigue, the fleshing-out of what had been a “throwaway” character, and Elias Vaughn (though in a supporting role); what’s not to like? For some reason, I have been drawn to the captains and characters about which we know little (Christopher Pike “Prime”, Harriman, Vaughn, etc.).

ANYWAY!

Go read “Serpents”. I will be reading the Harriman comic for sure.

@2. If they did have something like that, it wouldn’t necessarily have to have come from “Of Gods And Men” (it’s pretty simple theme, methinks.)

The book certainly looks interesting (I haven’t read the Harriman Lost Era novel yet), although the art on these issues is pretty mediocre all around… thank god for Byrne!

Although, looking closely, that Klingon on crutches looks a lot like Terrax http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrax :P
