I may be just talking out of my hat, but I hope you don’t let this idea die just yet. I hated the new Star Trek movies and know for a fact that there are many other fans who feel the way I do and who hunger for new stories in the Prime universe. I feel, with a few more tweaks, this could be it. I love the basic idea and feel most of the character designs look spot on. Capt. Chase seems like a fun character.

Just like the original animated series, this could be a great way for old fans to enjoy Trek in a time where Trek is harder to come by. I’d hate to think that the Prime universe is truly dead for good. Would petitions or fan campaigns help to save this, or in CBS/ Paramount rally that dead set to keep it from happening? I bet if you tried, you’d find enough support from fans. Maybe support from former Trek cast or crew like Frakes or Shatner?

Very much enjoyed reading through the story boards, and browsing through galleries. I’m disappointed it won’t be picked up. I liked pretty much all of it except the design of Enterprise. But I do understand it is just a concept and not a final design.

Good story telling is essential to a series. It is my hope that you’ll not give up and continue to pitch ideas to the network.

Star Trek TAS never said its 4 year mission and its 5 year mission after its 4th year mission and has of course different music introduction than Star Trek The Orginal Series so the seasons of Star Trek TAS did not complete Star Trek TOS 5 year mission.

When Star Trek TAS first airred it said its 5 year mission.

Anyways it would of been nice to see The Enteprise J the animated series instead of their timeline.

Was this going to be only made for the internet or tv?

@53 Thanks Carl! I’ve been kicking around that idea for a while now! The possibilities, storylines,time periods and characters are endless, and I think it is the only way to truely satisfy everyone. I would love to see something like that get made!!!!!

I read through the script and storyboards and really warmed up to it. I love the idea that the captain wants to change the status quo in the Federation and I appreciate that there’s enough modern allegory in the Omega attack that it relates to today’s world and the fears with global terrorism and increased tribalism in America and abroad.

I’m sad that this won’t be something that actually gets made, but thank you so much for putting it up online. I really appreciated it. It felt like Trek, or at least a discussion of what Trek ought to be that was heading in the right direction.

I also like the idea a commenter had of why not try to make this and separate it from Star Trek? We need more original non-franchise sci-fi around here, not reboots of the same brand names. I imagine that Star Trek still claims ownership over a lot of this stuff, but still.

Well done, really. Don’t be bothered by the haters, this is exactly the kind of story Trek should be reaching out for instead of rebooting back to old characters and ideas.

The premise of this series is pretty cool and there are better perspectives of this Enterprise on the website, including the cool pilot.

I’d love to see this series and still hope it will get it’s chance.

One doesn’t need to harass new developments because they’re different. The NX-01 und the the JJ NCC-1701 are really beautiful and the more Star Trek productions are out there the better imho.

The ship that they said was too BSG was extremely cool. I like the armored militaristic look of it. I’d like to have a model of that one. I see my next scratchbuild on the horizon.
