Appreciate the concert listing – thank you.
But as a small note to editors – Ontario is the second largest province in Canada. Saying this concert is for “fans in and around Ontario” is the equivalent of saying a show in San Diego is for all fans in California – if California was 2.5 times the size it actually is.
But again, appreciate the listing. This fan in Ontario would attend if I wasn’t still 500 km away.

Bear used percussion as the heart of BSG and nothing could of sounded better. I have every soundtrack by him and have listened to his tracks many a time over and I can assure you that you have no idea what you’re talking about! BSG music equivalent to Emo cutting himself? Hahahaha that makes me laugh!

#23 – I’ve been around the block a few times and I know what Emo is. Goth, etc. They’re good for the laughs (or is it “teh lulz” these days?)

TNG had decent scoring while Rodenberry was in charge. Ron Jones took advantage of it, and kept it up until he was canned in the late 4th season after great scores to shows like “Data’s Day” and “Final Mission”.

Flamboyant…hm. Throw some shoes and pocket change into a clothes dryer and you’ll get similar sounding scoring to Bear’s “action” music. And yes, the somber music is perfect for the Emo teen cutting himself because “no one understands me”. :-)

Then your definition of ‘bland’ and ‘dull’ is a strange one. And for someone into soundtracks since the 1970s, isn’t ‘emo’ a rather modern word for someone your age to use to describe music. I mean, I’m 35 and can honestly say that neither I nor anyone I know of my age group or older would ever use that word!

That said, if you hate TNG’s milksop scores and you hate BSG’s flamboyant scores, what have you liked?

12 — Dennis McCarthy made the mash-up that they used and composed the unused alternate title heard on teh “Farpoint” soundtrack.

But where’s the GOOD Star Trek music? The themes from “First Contact “and “Insurrection”, namely, and that end credits piece from the “Nemesis” soundtrack that I can’t find a name for.
