Takei, Frakes & Burton to Super Hero Squad

The Super Hero Squad Show is a kids cartoon featuring ‘super deformed’ versions of heroes and villains from the Marvel comic universe. The second season will kick off this fall and TV guide is reporting that a number of famous genre stars are joining the voice cast, including Jonathan Frakes and LeVar Burton. It isn’t know what characters they will be playing yet. They will be joining Star Trek’s George Takei who will be reprising his Season 1 role as Galactus. Other genre stars joining the voice cast include Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica), Adam West (Batman), and Mark Hamill (Star Wars).

There will be a preview of Season 2 shown at Comic Con next week. More info on Season 2 at TV Guide.

Until then, here is a clip of George Takei voicing Galactus from Season 1.

I actually enjoy this show (does this make me mental?). I Tape every ep so I can watch it with a dirty martini and a KitKat.

“Who’ll save the day, the Super Hero Squad. HERO UP!! Super Hero Squad. HERO UP!! Super Hero Squad. HERO UP!!”

never heard of it

Heheh, cute!

Was that Jeffrey Combs as Dr Doom? It sounded a bit like him…

is it better than spidey n his amazing friends or superfriends i hope? all these genre actors have great voice talents–but i dont understand the whole kids version/deformed whatever they look like kids to me-cant git 2 interested-just like simplistic versions of spidey n iceman didnt exactly work either
