#50 i see it as being stylised, verging on moody, Harry. But you may be correct and its amateur. Which would be surprising for a major motion picture publicity shot.
Nervertheless, I hope the finished product lives up to your memories and expectations the way Trek ‘09 did for both of us. ;-)

yah vultan you are right about michael bay–hopefully he will never do any comic hero movies–scary thought-let him keep the transformers—or maybe he can make pearl harbor 2—i doubt movies will ever capture the pure artistic power of kirbys art-the hulks rippling muscles n green monstrous face–thors heroic figures costumes n shakespearn speech–kirbys kosmic slant on fantastic four–the inhumans etc-captain americas leaping spinning body as he throws his shield which returns too him like thors hammer hahha–oh well we can dream–

opps-i meant to say johnston was in charge of the ultralight flying sequence in the howard the duck movie haha oh well–i liked dc when i was younger especially green lantern before i read ee doc smith lensman series-gl is kinda a ripoff of lensmen–from about 12 on when i discovered ditko spiderman n kirby fantastic four-wow–then the galactus trilogy-i was hooked-marvel 4ever after that-actually howard the duck was brilliantly sarcastic in the comics written by steve gerber-great stuff-the movie dumbed down howards acidic wit and made him more heroic than he usually was but the style n tone of the movie was pretty close for a movie to the comic original–jeffrey jones was hilarious as the villain–howard is a guilty pleasure to me-so many bad reviews even calling it the worst movie etc–i think the only main thing wrong was how real howard looked which mostly wasnt very real but the more u see howard the more u accept him-the general public could not believe in the duck–i remember opening night–the audience laughing at the wrong times–i dont think they got it-the humor of howard-since i was a howard fan way before the movie i guess i liked it more than most–

Sir, are you suggesting that Howard the Duck was somehow a bad movie? Now I’m just totally confused. ;)

But, hey, I’m in no way saying Johnston has had a perfect record. Far from it. But at least it’s not Michael Bay directing Captain America. I think we can all thank Marvel for that.

hey i just found out that joe johnston was in charge of the ultra sequence in the howard the duck movie so i have total faith in him now!hehehe
