She’ll be back. I can only think of 3 ways though.
1. Use the voyage home scenario. Sue(whale) must be brought back from the past in order to save earth.
2. She’s a Q

We do see blood and a bone, so Sue probably DID die. In Trek, returns usually boil down to:
1) Time Travel. Several possibilites here: Capt. Irving’s points 1 & 3 differ as to who is doing the time traveling.
2) “Alien Super powers”, including Illusion (TM)
3) The damn Transporter
We may also add:
* Regeneration
* Android Copies. The blood and bone seem to rule out Androids, though.
* Cloning/Twins/Replicas, (I can just imagine the next strip showing a lab at some Starbase with rows of tanks labeled “Sue #1313”, “Sue #1314”, etc, down several lines dwindling in the distance.)
Did our Sue and the Mirror Sue trade? I don’t think THAT’S likely.
If we do see Sue again (and it is not a flashback), I’m betting on the inherent Sue Power of Altering Reality trumping the Writer’s plots. If Sue WANTS to return, she will, and there just MAY NOT BE ANY explanation. It is the Nature of the Sue to do so, and ultimately, one cannot question it, it just IS.

Ahh the power of the Red Shirt. Put it on and you will Die.
What the characters fail to realize is that their very story is being written by Mary Sue (who is a creation of the actual Mary Sue fangirl). They are at her mercy, for they only exist in her reality. They are not in control.
Or, as the tagline states, “It’s her universe… we only live in it.”
Oh – as for the beagle’s butt – that’s a borg implant. Hence the justification for Sue calling the puppy “Le’cutest” instead of “Locutus”.
The problem with explaining a joke is that it’s like dissecting a frog. You’ll understand it – but it’s dead.
The good thing about Le’cutest, though, is that we finally get the Borg into the NuTrek universe. ;)

Congrats, #33- you’ve got the basic concept.
In spite of Spock Prime’s worry, Sues rarely cause singularities on their own. What DOES happen much more often is one of two things:
1) The Sue’s Will comes into conflict with the intentions of the Writer, in a textbook illustration of Irresistible Force meeting Immovable Object. This has tested many fanfic writers, and may result in either the loss of the writer’s sanity or career in extreme situations.
2) Two (or even more!) Sues come into conflict. This is not a case of Irresistible Force meeting Immovable Object, but rather of TWO Immovable Objects each emitting its OWN Irresistible Force upon the other. You’ll notice that the only time that our Sue has lost her ‘SueNess’ was when the MirrorSue appeared- when she was apparently initially caught in the Event Horizon, and actually reacted as a NORMAL girl would have, even briefly changing into a ‘Dorothy’. Now, THAT’S a singularity! The two Sues reacted between each other as proper Sues, however (there was no plot conflict at the time).
A Sue is NEVER Evil or Malicious (except perhaps from the viewpoint of other characters). Think of it: what was the MirrorSue’s idea of ‘Evil Incarnate? Having a python and a Yuri encounter. Oh, and her outfit. I don’t know about The Mirror Universe, but that’s actually fairly nomal routine in my neighborhood. Like most real people, her idea of Evil actually was more being ‘Naughty’ than Damnation.
