Orci: Star Trek Sequel Script To Be Delivered In Late March + Pegg: Shooting In August [UPDATED]

Today Star Trek sequel co-writer and producer Roberto Orci has given an update on plans for the script for the movie planned for a Summer 2012 release. Orci says that the writing team plan on turning it in late March. More details below. Former Star Trek overlord Rick Berman has revealed that he at work on a previously promised memoir of his two decades with the Star Trek franchise. In a new interview, the ex-producer also talks about taking over producing Star Trek: The Next Generation from Gene Roddenberry, as well as creating Deep Space Nine, Voyager and Enterprise.

Online advertisement for J.J. Abrams’ Super 8 uncovered [Update: Super Bowl spot released]

Keeping with tradition, J.J. Abrams’ latest film “Super 8” is veiled in secrecy. The Steven Spielberg-produced project is currently in post-production and the most concrete bit of information we have on it is that it’ll hit theaters on June 10, 2011. Paramount will debut a new teaser trailer during today’s Super Bowl and ahead of its release, an online advertisement has been uncovered. Update: The Super Bowl TV spot has been released.
