Fox Promo Teases Leonard Nimoy’s Return To Fringe This Friday

Leonard Nimoy has come out of retirement one more time to reprise his role as William Bell on JJ Abrams sci-fi show Fringe. FOX has released a new promo for this Friday’s episode which teases the return of Nimoy. Watch it and another preview below.

Leonard Nimoy is back "in an unexpected way" on Fringe

Here is Fox’s "A Tease Within A Tease" about the Fringe episode "Lysergic Acid Diethylamide"

SPOILERS: On the current season of Fringe it has been established that William Bell (played by Leonard Nimoy) has died but has used a "soul magnet" to inhabit the mind of Oliva Dunham (Anna Torv). This has become a problem which will be dealt with this Friday in the episode "Lysergic Acid Diethylamide." Here is another new preview from FOX:

"Lysergic Acid Diethylamide" airs Friday April 15th.

Nimoy and LSD?

Could the episode title be an homage to a famous scene with Leonard Nimoy. Of course "Lysergic Acid Diethylamide" is better known as the hallucinogen LSD, something which Fringe’s mad scientist Walter Bishop probably uses on a regular basis. But, Leonard Nimoy has had another brush with a reference to LSD. In Star Trek IV Admiral Kirk tried to explain away Spock’s odd behavior (from a 1980s perspective) by telling Dr. Gillian Taylor he had used "a little too much LDS" in the 60s.

Oh, what I’d give for Zach Quinto to do a remake of the Bilbo Baggins song…. C’mon Peter Jackson… make it so! :) Great publicity for The Hobbit 1 & 2.

As for getting Shat on Fringe: as Denny Crane! He’s already in Boston, no? He’d try to sleep with Olivia… and if Bell was still possessing her…. it’s every K/S’s dream.

@ 5 Daoud

What the? Ha, ha, ha. Are you saying that Spock had a gay thing for Kirk?

From what I have read, the move to Friday hasnt been been as much as a disaster as a lot of people had predicted. Glad to see Nimoy back, and hopefully not for the last time.

@3

Please God No! Just because Nimoy’s on something doesn’t mean that Shatner needs to be!

@3 – that’s right – Shat on FRINGE as Denny Crane (both Boston based)!

But yeah – @11 is right.

Is Fringe more ‘out there’ than Star Trek? Hmmm hope I’ve set something away there… :)

(welcome back though leonard, you are truly a star! ..you might want to use a more secure fixer though..)

I am recovering from surgery at home, so I am “adjusting’ the timing of when I take pain pills so I don’t doze through this. Can’t wait!

Watching the actor interview, you can tell they really enjoyed making that episode. Looking forward to Friday night.

I’m actually enjoying the TWIN PEAKS references far more on FRINGE than I am the STAR TREK references.
