TeeFury Star Wars vs. Star Trek T-Shirt Battle

The fine folks at TeeFury have jumped into the ongoing battle of Star Trek v Star Wars. They have pitted two of their daily T-Shirt offerings against each other. On Thursday they featured a Star Wars shirt and for Friday they have a Star Trek shirt. Check out the T-shirt battle below.

Tee Fury Star Wars v Star Trek

On Thursday TeeFury.com. the site that offers a "new tee every day" for $10, announced a Star Wars vs. Star Trek T-Shirt showdown. Apparently there has been a "battle raging" inside TeeFury, so they wanted to settle it by running a design from each franchise to see which fandom reigns supreme.

On Thursday TeeFury offered a T-shirt with a Star Wars "Rebellion" design (based on the logo the UK Liverpool Football Club), here it is:

The Star Wars-themed shirt goes away at midnight Thursday (Eastern), to be replaced by a shirt with a "Federation United" Star Trek design (based on Manchester United). The Star Trek T-Shirt is available all Friday for $10 in various men’s and women’s sizes. Click the image for more info or to buy (after midnight Eastern time).

Can’t decide – blend ’em

What if you want to show your love for both Star Trek and Star Wars. Well BustedTees has you covered with their "Trek Wars" shirt. It costs $20 (in various sizes), but unlike the TeeFury shirts it is not available for a limited time.

MAY THE TREK BE WITH YOU

STRONG WITH THE TREK YOU ARE

THE EMPIRE TREKS BACK

A TREK OF THE CLONES

RETURN OF THE TREKKIE

FYI. The Star Wars tee is based on the Liverpool FC logo. So not only is it Wars vs. Trek, but Liverpool vs. Man U.

Never Walk Alone.

Seeing how the raging debate these days is over just how scrubbed clean will the 23rd century be of corporate and cultural symbols from the 21st, just how will earth entertain its self when all the sporting clubs are also gone?

Glory Glory Man United ;-P

Just bought it lol

They are both sucky!

Love the United/Star Trek shirt. Not so keen on having Star Wars associated with the scousers though.

You mean the shirts, right Buzz? ;)

I like both Trek and Wars. Never understood the competition between the two. Just as silly as DC vs. Marvel and so on…

Apart from the one with Star Trek on it, the other tee shirts looked like they were advertising some sort of beer.

I do indeed mean the shirts, Vults.
Star Wars is ok. Its a bit meh for me. Technically brilliant, and a game changer in that sense, of course, but i never did get caught up in the hype around it. Not even as a 12 year old when it was released! I must have been about the only ‘nearly a teen’ that didn’t go into spasms at the meerest thought of it.
I think I saw it as cheating on Trek or something daft like that. However having since seen the original Star War’s movie my feelings are the same.
It took me 20 years before I saw the original on the big screen and i came out entirely comfortable with the decision that I made in ’77 to give it a miss.
As you know, Micah, my Big Love in 1977 was Close Encounters. And Lindsay Wagner as the Bionic Woman of course! :-D

Man U? Liverpool?

I think I’m gonna puke…..

Holy he’ll my 2 favorite things. Man U and trek!!! Yay!!

Yes, yes, fine, fine, but what we all really want to know is whether a lightsaber can deflect a phaser bolt… It’s time Lucasarts and Paramount sat down and settled this once and for all.

There is a logical explanation for those who wish to show their love for both franchises.

Star Wars is good escapist fun for Star Trek fans who believe in the future and what will come to be if we have our way.

Star Trek is good escapist fun for Star Wars fans who believe that life was more exciting a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.

Now, lets get down to the root of the problem. Has anyone seen either George Lucas’ or Gene Roddenberry’s birth certificate?

See, I’d take Trek any day, but Liverpool’s my team. Conflicting.

No conflict here. As much as I love Trek, there’s not a hope in hell of me wearing that shirt.

@16 GR’s is fake, it says Eugene Wesley Roddenberry. He can’t possibly be *Eugene*!!! But he was the original Wes, no doubt there!

So, how do they get the models to pose EXACTLY in the same manner? Hahahahah, Photoshop is their friend, how fake. I prefer the Snorgtees gal from Auburn any day though.

Anyway, the shirt I like is the last one…

I love both the best franchise science fiction, Star Trek, and the best franchise science fantasy, Star Wars. Like science and religion, I can have them both, and even my middle names give me both a Gene, and a George!

Sincerely,
D. Eugene George… :)

Another blend of Star Trek and Star Wars

KHAN SHOT FIRST

A sci fi group I am in are having a Star Trek vs Star Wars day.

Originally just planned as a Star Trek day but some wanted Star Wars mixed in because it is May 4th we are doing it (Get it!)

Looking forward to being quizmaster for scene it.

Lighsaber VS. Phaser

Darth Vader VS. Khan

How about….Yoda VS. Spock? Doesn’t he look like a wrinkly-green-midget version of our favorite Vulcan?

I won’t say that one is better than the other. It kind of depends what sort of person you are: if you like princesses and knights and swordfights in space, you’re going to like Star Wars. If you like more thoughtful, philisophical action in space, you’ll be a Trekkie. I confess when I was a little kid I used to be a Star Wars fan. Guess tastes change.

TeeFury have some great designers. And it’s hard to beat the cost!

Obi Wan-McCoy? Luke Kirkwalker? Han Spocko? Chewscotty? (Or Han Scotty and Chewspocka?) Su-Lu-P-O? R-2-Check-Off?… Princess Nyota? All on the USS Millenterprise.

Definitely Darth Khan, but he’s been Borg’ed. And has a Borg Deathcube.

Balls to Liverpool and most definitely Balls to United

#11 – Keachick … yes I also think that! …. :-) :-)

3 RED DEAD RYAN —

You forgot: Trek Wars II: The Wrath of Darth.

oh please we are sci-fi not football fans there should not been any of this my team over your team crap

a good friend said to me once good sci-fi is good sci-fi

now i am a trekier never been a star wars fan(what do they call themself by the way?)however i can see how in the past star wars has help star trek

all i see is someone cashing in on this very strange and very stupid idea that one is better than the other im sure gene would never have been a apart of this and i bet george is just laughting about it all

Possile Titles for Trek Wars.
Star Wars. Revenge of the Khan.
Star Trek. Return of the Jedi.
Star Wars. The Motion Picture.
Star Trek. Storm Troopers.
Star Wars. Red Shirts.
Star Trek. Skywalker.
Star Wars. The Neutral Zone.
Star Trek. The Sith.

This Star Wars stuff is insidious…:) I heard someone refer to a couple as being “Darth and Mrs Vader”. My young daughter call her black female Rex guinea pig as “Darth Piggyius” because she is quite bossy sometimes.

I just want to wish Kate Mulgrew a happy birthday for today. April 29th.

great idea with the t-shirts but there is a problem, if you’re a massive Liverpool fan or and prefer Star Trek there is no way you’re going to get a T-Shirt with a Manchester United inspired logo on it and vice versa. I live in Australia and don’t follow the EPL a great deal but I know those two teams don’t like each other!

You can’t buy these shirts after the day?
What the frak?
My father in law would love the Liverpool shirt

So who sold more shirts? Have they said yet?

Who do you think sold more??

I love both franchises, it would be hard for me to say- But I think with Trek being fresh and highly anticipated that Trek won in shirt sales.

@3
RETURN OF THE TREKKIE would be a great title for Trekkies 3
