Science Saturday: Giant Rocket + Virgin Submarine + Torn-apart Star + New Particle? + more

This is a big week for science, with a giant new rocket unveiled by SpaceX, Richard Branson going from Galactic to Oceanic with a cool one-man submarine, FermiLab physicists discovering a new particle (or maybe a new ‘force’ or something they aren’t sure), and NASA telescopes spotting a star being literally torn apart by a giant black hole. We have all that plus a do-it-yourself cannon, and the birthday of the Internet (maybe).



Shatner Still Wants Star Trek Sequel Role & Talks ‘Generations’ Death + POLL: How To Bring Back Kirk?

William Shatner is touring Australia and New Zealand this week with his "Shatner, Kirk, Crane and Beyond". At the show in Sydney Bill once again talked about how he wants in on the Star Trek sequel, and he also talked about the death of Kirk in Generations. Star Trek: The Exhibition Headed To Florida’s Kennedy Space Center + Promo For ST: TE headed to Germany

The two ‘engagements’ of Star Trek: The Exhibition are getting ready to hit the road for new locations this summer. Netflix Update: All Star Trek TV Series To Begin Streaming In July

In February we reported that CBS and Netflix had cut a deal to begin streaming a number of CBS series, including all of the Star Trek TV shows. Happy First Contact Day

Today in Star Trek future history is "First Contact Day". Regardless of your timeline, on April 5th, 2063 Dr. Zefram Cochrane is to became the first man to break the warp barrier (with a little help from the crew of the NCC-1701E), which will catch the notice of some passing Vulcans who initiate the ‘first contact’ between humans and aliens…and the beginnings of the United Federation of Planets and all that came with it.

Paramount Theme Park With Star Trek Attraction Planned For 2015 Open In Spain – Financing Being Worked Out
