Mulgrew in NTSF:SD:SUV — time to get drunk and get freaky

Video Promo:

Official synopsis:

NTSF:SD:SUV::
NTSF:SD:SUV:: (National Terrorism Strike Force: San Diego: Sport Utility Vehicle), is a clandestine team of government agents working together to protect San Diego from numerous terrorist threats coming in daily from such evil countries as Mexico, Canada and Guam. This team of highly trained operatives has only one job: saving your ass so you can drive your Prius and see your movies in 3-D without worrying about living in a country run by no-good terrorists. As with many other acronym-ed police procedurals that dominate the airwaves, NTSF:SD:SUV::’s season of 15-minute episodes is ripped from the headlines and full of suspense, action, drama, cliffhangers, yelling, passionate love-making, more yelling, death and plenty of pregnant pauses. NTSF:SD:SUV:: is created by Paul Scheer and stars Scheer, Rebecca Romjin, Rob Riggle, Kate Mulgrew, Brandon Johnson, June Diane Raphael, Martin Starr and S.A.M., the first sentient robot on television. Paul Scheer and Jonathan Stern are executive
producers. Curtis Gwinn is co-executive producer. Series premieres this summer on Adult Swim.

This looks pretty funny (about time someone took pot shots at all of the boring procedural shows polluting TV). Never cared much for Voyager (no fault of the cast; more the writing), but I think Mulgrew and Picardo might be really good in this.
Love the eye patch… ;-D

She got old. Wow.

But on the plus side, she still looks gorgeous

Saw this series’ ‘trailer’ as a filler segment in another Adult Swim series called, Children’s Hospital and it was hilarious.

Great to see Janeway and the Doctor together again! Could the picture also be a possible Mirror Universe story we haven’t yet seen? I wonder how Janeway lost an eye over there?

Anyways, my first post here after reading many many previous threads, and just want to say thanks to everyone at Trekmovie – you regularly make my day!

i hope [AS] isnt planning to do more live action comedy over anime?

Humor. It is a difficult concept. It is not funny.

Looks funny, I think.

@2, Yeah, she got old but sadly so are we all. And #1, I would rather have some bad Trek episodes on the air than what we have now, none. Can’t CBS take a page from ABC and what they did with the soap operas and run new Trek episodes online and support them with online ads?

Mulgrew was, at the time, the third-youngest actor ever cast as the captain in Star Trek (after Shatner and Hunter) and is 13 years younger than her predecessor Bujold, who was the oldest actor ever cast as the captain.

@5

Nobody really watches the anime stuff on there anymore. I know a new series is starting this month. “Durarara!!!” which was a pretty good anime. [AS] has always been one for the comedy than anything. I’m actually really excited for this new series. I wholly enjoy “Children’s Hospital” so I think it is good [AS] is making some original content. Also, it is cheaper than buying the rights to anime shows people aren’t watching as much of.

She’s awesome.

Ohmigosh, that’s Interrodroid 3000 from THE MIDDLEMAN! Nice to see he’s still getting work….

@2 That’s what happens to us humans. We get old and wrinkly.

@12 Yea, just another job going to a robot instead to a guy who needs to feed his family.

haha go adult swim—my only regret–their unique habit of having 15 minute shows-instead of at least 30 min-guess its cheaper that way-ive liked adult swim since they reran futurama episodes-robot chicken also funny-its low brow humor with intelligence-rare combination–will be great to see mulgrew on tv again–

I’m waiting for the “Black Dynamite” series on Adult Swim next year. Anyone here know anything about that?

“It’s time to get drunk and get freaky…who’s with me?” LOL!!! Had Janeway at anytime said that during the course of Voyager, that would have REDEEMED THE ENTIRE SHOW!!! LOL!!!

@16: And she said it in such a perfect Janeway-esque deadpan, too. I foresee some interesting Voyager fan dubs in the future… ;)

If this show is anywhere near as funny as the title, it just might make it!

Janeway is back!!! I am watching it now fo sho.
