Scott Bakula  & Patrick Stewart To SDCC

But Shatner and Brooks are not the only captains at Comic Con 2011. Star Trek Enterprise’s Scott Bakula has just been announced as part of the Nerd Machine’s series of "A Coversation With…" events being held offsite.  The Conversation with Scott Bakula will take place on Friday at 2:30pm – 3:30pm at Jolt’N Joe’s (379 4th Ave., San Diego, CA). The event costs $20.00 and more info at tickets are available at www.thenerdmachine.com.

And believe it or not, but 2011 will be the first time at San Diego Comic Con for Star Trek: The Next Generation’s Patrick Stewart. He will be attending the Summertime Entertainment panel for Dorothy of Oz, the new animated film in which Patrick voices "Tugg." The Dorothy of Oz panel will be on Saturday at 4:30 in Hall H.

Finally, here is a video (via Collider) of Sir Patrick talking about his role in Dorothy of Oz.

“…and in conclusion, whether your dreams are Earth bound or set in the stars, follow your heart and…make it so!”

Unless they’ve somehow recently air-conditioned the entire interior of the aircraft carrier, the Intrepid in summer ranks as one of the hottest places on Earth. Our family had a hard enough time simply walking around in our summer clothing a few years back. I can’t imagine fans sitting for two hours wearing things like heavy TOS movie officer costumes.

Although the “festivities start at sundown” line suggests a possible screening on deck–which is also hard to fathom since the deck is full of vintage war machines.

lol, when did Morgan Bateson display his blue fur?

I always thought Patrick was a friend of Dorothy’s.
