Some new previews for the next projects of Star Trek’s new stars have emerged. The first trailer for Zachary Quinto’s Margin Call has been released, plus there are new clips of Zoe Saldana in Colombiana. Finally Karl Urban is on the cover of the new Empire Magazine as Dredd. UPDATE: Simon Pegg reveals latest project
On Wednesday Star Trek’s new Scotty Simon Pegg revealed via Twitter what he has been doing for the last month. Pegg linked to an announcement at Pinewood Studios about the new film "Fantastic Fear of Everything." Here is an excerpt:
The psycho-comedy is written and directed by musician-turned-filmmaker Crispian Mills, marking his feature debut. He is joined by co-director and animator Chris Hopewell as part of a collaboration with Collision Films, whose award-winning work includes Radiohead’s There There and The Killers’ Smile Like You Mean It. A Fantastic Fear of Everything is produced by Geraldine Patten and stars Simon Pegg (Paul, Shaun of the Dead).
Simon Pegg plays Jack, a children’s author turned crime novelist whose detailed research into the lives of Victorian serial killers has turned him into a paranoid wreck, persecuted by the irrational fear of being murdered. When Jack is thrown a life-line by his long-suffering agent and a mysterious Hollywood executive takes a sudden and inexplicable interest in his script, what should be his ‘big break’ rapidly turns into his ‘big breakdown’, as Jack is forced to confront his worst demons; among them his love life, his laundry and the origin of all fear. A Fantastic Fear of Everything also stars Amara Karan (The Darjeeling Limited), Clare Higgins (Hellraiser), Sheridan Smith (Hysteria) and introduces Alan Drake.

Trailer for Margin Call w/ Zachary Quinto
Zachary Quinto’s first film after playing Spock in Star Trek was Margin Call, a film about the 2008 financial crisis. Quinto co-stars and also produced the film. The firs trailer was just released. Margin Call comes out October 21.

Ryan, he is looking like Dredd. Sly was trying to look like Dredd, which was not cool. Urban appears to be doing a much better job of it. Just Google Pic Judge Dredd and you will see the frowning grimace of justice all over your screen

Zoe is kicking it!!
Stallone’s movie had the right take on the outfit – lifted straight from the pages of 2000AD – seriously OTT metal shoulder protectors, but thanks to the storyline about being banished, hardly got to wear any of it.
Now Urban’s flick got the helmet right, but it doesn’t seem to go with the outfit.
From the look of things ”Dredd” may just be a surprise box office hit.
Judge Dredd doesn’t look right. Urban doesn’t have the right look to play him.
None of those movies interest me enough to pay for them. I guess I will wait until they air on TV in a few years.
Good to see Zachary Quinto. The man has a lot of talent. Hope to see him in more projects. Zoe looks great as usual. I like the “Swimming with Sharks” clip better than this one though.

Ought to be illegal to mask Urban’s gorgeous face. Like Urban, Quinto and Saldana are eye candy with real talent. What’s not to like? The Quinto and Saldana films look tension-filled. Here is some consolation for the sequel delays. I can’t wait!

Don’t get me wrong, I love Karl Urban…but not as Judge Dredd
Urban’s outfit is more akin with the earlier Judge Dredd imagery, which is fine with me cos the clothes are more practical and less fanciful.
Ugh! I love Mr. Quinto and am SO excited for his new project, it looks awesome!!
