From The Next Generation to Voyager to Enterprise — and Star Trek movies in between — Brannon Braga has had his hands in hundreds of hours of Star Trek. The writer/producer’s next project, however, is Fox’s prehistoric time travel series Terra Nova from producer Steven Spielberg. Braga took some time to reflect on his time with Star Trek in a new interview with StarTrek.com.

Star Trek Ongoing #1 goes on sale this week from IDW Publishing. As previously detailed, Star Trek Ongoing is a new comic book series based on J.J. Abrams’ 2009 Star Trek. IDW describes it as a set of "re-imaginings"of the classic adventures of the 1960s Star Trek TV series. Ahead of tomorrow’s release (Wednesday, September 21) of issue #1, IDW has released a 7-page preview.

The Fed Con Special "Captains Table" took place last weekend at the Maritim Hotel in Düsseldorf, Germany. Guests were Captain Sisko Avery Brooks, Captain Janeway Kate Mulgrew, Captain Picard Patrick Stewart with his son Daniel and Voyager’s Ensign Harry Kim Garrett Wang as master of ceremonies.

In July a report surfaced that CBS had started to begin work on remastering Star Trek: The Next Generation in HD for a Blu-ray release in 2012. Now comes news that the 4-episode sampler disc may be released this December.
