Happy Birthday, Michael Dorn

Today, December 9th, is the birthday for the man who appeared in more Star Trek than any other actor. Michael Dorn, who played Worf on TNG and DS9, turns 59 today. So we here at TrekMovie.com wish him a big happy birthday.

Happy Birthday, Michael Dorn

Michael Dorn’s Klingon-in-Starfleet Worf appeared in all seven seasons of Star Trek: The Next Generation, plus four seasons of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, along with the four TNG movies. Dorn even showed up in one of the TOS movies too (Star Trek VI), playing one of Worf’s ancestors.

This video shows how Dorn’s Worf is one of the most quotable characters in the Star Trek franchise:

In the last decade, Dorn has kept very busy, primarily doing voice work for animated video games and animated TV series. Dorn is also appearing in a recurring role as a psychiatrist on the current season of the hit ABC show Castle (see clip below…via Hulu…sorry non-USA people).

Happy birthday, Michael Dorn. Would love to see you on twitter. Love and hugs, and hope it was magnificent.

Happy Birthday!!

qa’pla!

Yeah, buddy!

Best birthday wishes to Mr. Dorn who played one wonderful and iconic character in Trek.

All the best Mr. Dorn!

Happy B-Day Mr Dorn. You’ve played one of my favorite characters of all time!

Happy Birthday To the best charactor on Trek

Hope you’ve had a great birthday… with lots of cake and gagh (very fresh.)

He also played a Starfleet security officer in Star Trek III — so that’s two TOS movies.

Happy Birthday Michael. May you Live Long and Prosper.

Happy 59th, Michael!

Happy, Happy Belated Birthday Mike! 59 years old. Happy More to come. And Happy Holidays.

Happy Birthday. He’s nice at a convention and one of Trek’s best characters!

Do you think he’ll ever come out?

Happy birthday Mr. Worf, you’re the best!

Best birthday wishes to one of Trek’s real pilots!

John Travolta is featured in ads for high-end aviator-type watches because he has a personal airliner that he personally flies for fun. Someone should feature Dorn for something similar, made by Omega or Rolex or similar!

Trek rules!

Happy Belated Mr Dorn!! Thank you for your years of entertaing me

@16. Oh, shut up….

Happy Belated Birthday, Michael. Season’s greetings to you and yours, and all the best in 2012! Live long and prosper! TIqjaj yInlIj ‘ej bIchepjaj!

One of my favorite Worf quotes:

“Good tea….nice house.” (as he’s sitting on a sofa; holding a dainty cup and saucer) :)

Classic

Worf is probably the only TNG character — okay, Picard too — who could appear in any new Trek incarnation, or even this next movie, with the lamest, most unlikely storyline, and I would be thrilled.

Heck, couldn’t a third ship have gotten caught in that damned Hobus Star singularity… with Picard, Worf and, heck, Guinan… with the mysteriously resurrected but now hunky, hairy (and box office draw) Shinzon clinging to the outside?

I’ve had a LOT of sugar today. And maybe some bourbon.

Dorn strikes me from watching him at conventions as such a classy yet regular-seeming guy. Someone with a lot of heart and intelligence and warmth, and humor.

He’s about as dissimilar from the humorless and irritable Worf as one can imagine. The fact that he made it work so well — being Worf — is a testament to his acting ability.

Kudos to the Klingon, Worf, played by an actor a Klingon could truly respect and admire.

he should play Dr. M’Benga for the next Star Trek movie.

Darn, how did I not notice this post…

Happy incredibly belated birthday, Mr. Dorn (aka Dorny). You’re my favorite Klingon.
