Leonard Nimoy Reprises Voice Role in Kingdom Hearts 3D Game

Star Trek’s Leonard Nimoy just can’t seem to stay retired. Today it was announced the the actor is returning to the Kingdom Hearts game franchise to reprise his role of Master Xehanort in Kingdom Hearts 3D. 

 

Nimoy returns to Kingdom Hearts

Today game producer Square Enix (and publisher Disney) announced the voice talent for the English version of their upcoming game "Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance." On the list was Leonard Nimoy who is reprising his role as Master Xehanort, the main antagonist of the game series. Nimoy provided the voice of Xehanort in the 2010 release "Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep."  Also returning for roles are Haley Joel Osment (Sixth Sense), Hayden Panettiere (Heroes), and others.

“Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance” is an action role-playing game for the Nintendo 3DS. The Japanese version was released in March. The version with Leonard Nimoy comes out on July 20th.

Retired and busy…good

Love these games…even with the convoluted story telling.

If Leonard Nimoy is simply providing a voice, let’s hope he doesn’t “phone it in!”

Voice acting is a lot less intensive than going to a stage every day.

Yeah, that would be a “bad call” on his part!

Not a big Kingdom Hearts fan, but some of my friends are, and I’ve made sure to check out Mr. Nimoy’s voice work as Xehanort. From what I’ve heard it’s good stuff, but I’d expect nothing less from the man. He really is ace.

remember his one sentence voice role in the land of the lost movie-his slestack was the only good line in the whole movie…
