Looking good.

Captain Lorca looks computer generated in the second photo up from the bottom.

He does, doesn’t he? Maybe the photo’s been retouched, but very well.

Darn it, that should say “not very well.”

Yes. I agree about the excessive retouching. Otherwise it was nice to see Lorca getting out and about as well as sitting down in the Captain’s chair. I think that’s a first for him. So far I can only remember seeing him standing up on the bridge. As for Admiral Cornwell I wonder about her past with Lorca and her previous job as a psychiatrist. They producers certainly took some time with her backstory so I wonder if that means she will play a prominent role as the story goes on or did they just wanted to fill in her past.

Jason Isaacs had a green mask made at some point, on his Twitter feed. Are we looking at the 23rd-Century equivalent of a wax statue of Lorca?

I doubt illustrators would bother to make Lorca’s ear glow from behind lighting.

Looks colourful.

Is that the prison ship? They go back for Mudd…?

….my questions exactly….sure looks like it.

They’re saving Ephraim.

Dang… I mean Stuart. Mudd’s bug.

I wonder why they would go back for either? Maybe Mudd was more important than anyone thought he was. Then again how does Sarek tie into all of this? In the trailer I thought it appeared Burnham was with them. I hope Sarek isn’t on the POW ship. That would be bad.

He has a crayfish?

My guess is that they are saving Sarek and the klingon sets all have a similar look to them.

Love the TOS-esque purple lighting on the Klingon ship corridor. And to think lots of you don’t think there’s any connection to TOS in this! :-)

I’ve seen and heard connections to TOS, the TOS movies, and the Kelvin movies too. The first four eps [seen courtesy of a Trekker friend], while good, seemed to be leaving a lot of room for “if we writers back ourselves into a corner ….”

I do like the ‘shroom power idea, though, and Burnham’s exchange with the tardigrade. Am I correct that “Ripper” was stressed by helping out?

Yes you are correct.

Lt AshTyler is a Klingon syphathiser , sent back with Captain Lorca to tell the Klingons how Discovery makes it’s jumps.
All that fighting , is just forplay for Klingons, why didn’t he kill her? As they where escaping.

I wonder if the title has anything to do with that character in Dagger of the Mind?

Well, the mythological Lethe was the river of forgetting. So perhaps in keeping with the myth and the current spy theory re: Ash Tyler, he forgets who he *really* is.

I too am hoping for some dagger of the mind references. We never got a backstory for Lethe. If I remember correctly.

That’s what I’m thinking too Steph. I know the word has multiple meanings so who knows but if it relates to Dr Adams’ assistant (“I love my work”) it could be cool fan service with a purpose. Seems like STD does the good kind of fan service about 50% of the time.

I’m watching but not exactly counting the days in anticipation of the next episode.

Wow. The 6th episode of the new Star Wars series.

You can joke, but he only way that you will ever see an actual Star Wars show is with a streaming service.

I thought it was the 6th episode of the tv-version of Star Trek: Elite Force. :-D
