Looks good. Looking forward to it.

“. . .and you slept with my sister.” Pretty funny, actually.

This is the one I’ve been looking forward to the least, but these minisodes are 3 for 3 for me right now so I have faith I’ll at least enjoy it a little bit. :)

Same, I’m looking forward to this one the least too but I have to say I have liked the previous three and liked every one better than the last so maybe this will surprise me and be the best of the bunch? Either way I’ll be watching.

SO hoping to get these on Netflix once this one has aired. Maybe bundled with S2 … wishful thinking…

I personally loved the Harry Mudd episodes. I think this looks great.

This looks great. I’ve loved almost everything about Discovery. (I just wish the Tellarites weren’t so damn skinny. It looks weird.)

Yes he makes a great Mudd and loved it so soon will we get to see new ones

Rainn Wilson is such a great Harry Mudd. Let the shenanigans begin!

So while I haven’t like everything about Discovery, I have to say that Rainn Wilson’s interpretation of the Mudd character was one the best things about the show. I like how the original character traits are still there but with a slightly darker edge to them.

I always wished they named his time looping episode Magic to Make the Sanest Man go Mudd. I always thought that would be fun.

Its original title was Déjà Mudd.

Bet Mudd calls his Tellarite girlfriend ‘Bacon Bits.’

Or Miss Piggy.

Another Short Trek trailer, another cringe-inducing musical selection. Who is okaying this stuff? Enough with the hard rawk, please, and the strained attempts to make Star Trek cool and peppy for those kids with their blasted hula hoops and pet rocks.

I was actually wondering the name of the band/singer and song myself.

Also, if you don’t like rock and roll that’s one thing, but if you just don’t like it because it’s Star Trek…that’s something I cannot understand. Star Trek was always cool in my mind…even with the more orchestra-like music.

And pet rocks and hula hoops? I think you’re thinking of the wrong subculture.

yeah, let’s make everything the same always

Huh, I thought the music fit the trailer and the material quite well. The only thing I don’t like is the lyric being a bit on the nose. But the music itself really works.

As much as I hate to say this I never liked Harry Mudd and will be skipping this one. I just don’t understand his appeal and feel he is a bit cartoony.

I am glad that the character’s fans will get more time with him though.

Yeah, I personally will see it, and I actually enjoy the character of Mudd, but the nice thing about Short Treks is that (if we are lucky) we’ll get the episode we want.

Not every episode is for everyone. I personally loved “Calypso.”

That was my episode. Not everybody liked it though. I thought Saru’s story was just a bit confusing and not even close to what I would have expected it to be….anyway..The Tilly one wasn’t that great to me.

But like you said, for those people that loved them…I’m glad they are there. I personally don’t care if I never watch them again too much. But I’ve seen Calypso several times and would love to watch it again.

The nice thing about having multiple shows of Star Trek on at once, which I’m assuming is gonna start happening as soon as Discovery, Short Treks, Old Man Picard and Lower Decks are all on together. Even if there’s a show we don’t like…and even if we choose to skip certain ones…there’s still probably gonna be something we are interested in.

I loved the Tilly episode. I have no problems with the new areas DISCO is carving out in the Trek universe, but I also liked the Tilly episode precisely because it was like a classic TNG plot, just compressed down to 15 minutes.

I thought Calypso was really cool! It sure brought up a lot of questions though. What disaster forced the crew to abandon the Discovery that way? And how does the ship remain running with just the computer when there was no way to recrystallize dilithium in the 23rd century? Surely the fusion reactors couldn’t have kept the Discovery going for THAT long without maintenance?

This Tellarites are fake for me…. I love the Tellarites from Star Trek : Enterprise ….and my wish is: please cancel “Discovery” and make a sequel with Captain Archer, T`Pol and his great crew….

Thumbs up from me.

From what I understand these shorts have been quite a flop.
