Watch Winning Entries In GoAnimate Star Trek ‘Backstory’ Contest

GoAnimate.com, the site that allows you to create and share animations, has just announced the winners of its most recent Star Trek contest, "THE BACKSTORY". This contest was to honor the addition of three new TOS characters to the GoAnimate platform – Nurse Chapel, a Gorn, and Mara – and also, to honor the backstory theme of the latest Trek film. GoAnimate Adds More Star Trek Characters & Announces New ‘Backstory’ Contest

GoAnimate.com, the site that lets you make your own animations, today announced that it has expanded its roster of official Star Trek characters to include Nurse Chapel, Gorn, Mara, and two Klingon crewmen. To celebrate the five new characters, they have also launched a new animation contest for fans to create the best ‘backstory’. Details below.



GoAnimate Announces New Star Trek Animation Mashup Features + Contest

Back in February we reported that CBS had granted GoAnimate.com a Star Trek license and since then lots of fans have been playing with the free site creating and sharing fun animations with TOS characters. Today GoAnimate has added a feature that allows you to create ‘mashups’ between their Star Trek channel and their other licensed channels, including  Street Fighter and others.  And to kick it off they have a contest to create the best mashups including Star Trek prizes, details below.

Today Star Trek is getting (re)animated, and this time you are the one calling the shots. CBS has hooked up with GoAnimate.com, a site with the motto ‘anyone can animate,’ to give fans the ability to create their own Star Trek animated stories, based on the classic Original Series. Trek4Kids: How The New Star Trek Movie Is Appealing To Sixth Graders

The topic of this ‘Trek4Kids’ entry is how Paramount is marketing their new Star Trek movie to kids, something pretty important if they want to create a ‘next generation’ of fans. I am already a fan and was already excited about the movie, so I invited some of my sixth grade friends over to view some of the trailers and merchandise and also did a little survey at school, all to find out if other kids are getting excited too.
