Galactica VFX Team And Other Trek Vets Take Home Creative Arts Emmys September 13, 2008

Next weekend the primetime Emmy Awards will be handed out, but tonight the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences handed out the Creative Arts Emmys in Los Angeles. Many Trek alumni walked away as winners, including a team of Trek vets led by Gary Hutzel who took home statuettes for their work on Ron Moore’s Battlestar Galactica.

Starting with a spec script for Next Generation in 1989, Moore racked up 61 Trek writing credits (2nd only to Brannon Braga), spanning three series and two feature films. In this first part of an extensive exclusive interview with TrekMovie.com, Moore talks about pushing the Trek envelope 90s and suggests how Trek can push it again today.

Nana Visitor Is Mrs. Voorhees In New Friday the 13th April 21, 2008

Deep Space Nine’s Nana Visitor is headed into horror movie history. In a ScreenGeeks interview conducted at StarFest in Denver over the weekend, Visitor revealed that she will be playing Pamela Voorhees, the mother of Jason the hockey-mask wearing serial killer in the 2009 remake of Friday the 13th. Visitor also talked about her upcoming guest spot on Battlestar Galactica.
