The previously teased new project "Space Command" has now launched their KickStarter campaign. The envisioned series of sci-fi films feature a number of Star Trek vets behind the camera and they have also announced a number of Trek actors who are also involved, including Armin Shimerman, George Takei, Ethan Phillips and Robert Picardo. Last night was Fox aired the first part of the two-part finale for the fourth season of of their sci-fi show Fringe. The show included a number of guest stars, including a surprise appearance by a Star Trek veteran. Oscar annd Emmy-winning Star Trek (and Battlestar) artist Doug Drexler is teaming up with Saturn-winning writer Marc Scott Zicree (who has some Star Trek credits as well) on a new sci-fi film project called "Space Command." Without a Star Trek movie, TrekMovie has adopted Prometheus as our most anticipated film for the summer. Written by Trek sequel co-writer Damon Lindelof, the film looks to be a cool addition to the Alien universe. And today they released another cool viral video for the film showing off a Weyland robot. Fans are starting to wonder when they will get their first glimpse of the Star Trek sequel currently in production. A possibility could be at the annual San Diego Comic Con in July, and now producer/writer Damon Lindelof is saying that the team has a "strong desire" to be there with something to show. The annual Wondercon was held over the weekend and one of the big events was the reveal of the second trailer for Prometheus, the sort-of Alien prequel written by Star Trek sequel writer/producer Damon Lindelof. Check it out below along with a cool viral video for the film.
One of the biggest shows this fall was the time travel series Terra Nova, which included Star Trek vets Brannon Braga and René Echevarria as executive producers, along with Steven Spielberg. The ambitious and expensive show aired eleven episodes and has been on the bubble, but now Fox has decided it will not pick up Terra Nova for a second season.

Bruce Greenwood made no secret of the fact that he wanted to return to the role of Christopher Pike for the Star Trek sequel. And last month we revealed he got his wish. In a new interview promoting his new show The River, Greenwood talked about returning to Trek and how he is "content" with Pike’s role in the sequel.
