New Takei cologne “Eau My” George Takei has joined the long list of celebs who have released their own fragrance. The name of the cologne is of course a take on his catchphrase  “oh myyyyy” It is described thusly: Set Phasers to Stunning. George Takei’s Eau My is a clean, refreshing fragrance for Men and Women. Subtle and charming, with top notes of mandarin zest, Italian bergamot and fresh ozone transitioning to night-blooming jasmine, white freesia petals and grated ginger. Sensual woods, crystalized amber, soft skin musk, and vetiver will delight you when dry. It will be released December 15th, it is available for pre-order at Amazon.

Creature creator Neville Page has posted new design work from Into Darkness with alternate Klingon looks. Web comic Motion Pictures! has been exploring STID over the last number of weeks, concluding this week. Forbes says Star Trek Into Darkness is one of the worst marketed movies of the summer. We also have a list of which retailers will have exclusives with their Into Darkness Blu-ray copies.

George Takei, Star Trek’s original Sulu, is featured in a new video which is going viral this week with over 1/4 views in just over a day. The video has George reading excerpts from the best-selling erotic novel "Fifty Shades of Grey." Check it out below but beware it is probably NSFW. Also warning there are many "Oh My!"s ahead.





Watch: ‘Gangnam Style’ Parody ‘Klingon Style’ Sung Almost Entirely in Klingon

Well, that didn’t take long. Yes, we already have a Star Trekified parody of the popular Korean ‘Gangnam Style’ music video — this time, sung almost completely in Klingon. The video is actually of rather impressive quality, with all of the lyrics sung in Klingon, and the dancers in full Trek garb shooting on location. Very nicely done. Hit the jump for the video.


Watch: Daily Show & Colbert Report Go Star Trek (Again) + Futurama Too

Colbert and Stewart are Trekking again. Over the last couple of nights both of Comedy Central’s late night shows have thrown out Star Trek references. The Daily Show with Jon Stewart seems to have Wrath of Khan on their mind, while the Colbert Report sees the president as a Vulcan. Watch the clips below (if you live in the USA). Also this week’s episode of Comedy Central’s Futurama had a brief Trek reference, a screenshot of that below as well.



Did JJ Abrams Reveal A Star Trek Sequel Spoiler In A MTV Movie Awards Skit? [VIDEO]

On Sunday night Star Trek producer/director JJ Abrams once again appeared in a skit on the MTV Movie Awards. This time it was a gag about archery being the big new thing in Hollywood, but what some alert Trekkies noticed what appeared on the monitor behind JJ, who is supposed to be busy on post-production for the Star Trek sequel. So was it part of the gag, or an actual plot spoiler for the new Star Trek movie? Watch the skit below and decide for yourself.

JJ Abrams to Direct Star Trek: Excelsior Starring George Takei as Capt. Sulu + Cameron Mackintosh Announces Star Trek: The Musical [April Fools]]

It is a big news day today for Star Trek with two major production announcements. First, it was announced this morning that George Takei will star as Captain Sulu in the next Abrams-directed Star Trek film, Star Trek: Excelsior, with Roberto Orci penning the screenplay. Not too long after that news broke, Sir Cameron Mackintosh, noted theatre producer, announced that he would be adapting Trek for the stage in his production of Star Trek: The Musical.

The second season of the comedy webseries Fresh Hell starring Star Trek: TNG’s Brent Spiner has arrived. In the first episode Spiner returns to the role of an alternative version of himself who is struggling with life after "the incident."
