First Hands-On Impression Of Star Trek: The Video Game + Gameplay & BTS Video

Star Trek: The Video Game comes out next week. I have had a chance to play with the game a little and give you first impressions of the game below, along with four game play videos. Plus there is a new making-of video released by Paramount showing the new Star Trek doing their voice work for the game.

Zoe Saldana On Covers Of Latina & InStyle Mags – Says Mom Talked Her In To Star Trek

Not to be outdone by Quinto, Pine and Cumberbatch, Star Trek’s new Uhura Zoe Saldana is on the cover of a couple of new magazines including the May issue of Latina and InStyle’s annual Hair issue. In her Latina interview actress talks about how she was initially reluctant to take on the Trek role, but a Trekkie in her family helped change her mind. More details below. .

On Friday William Shatner’s voice will be heard in the animated feature Escape From Planet Earth. While doing publicity for the movie, Bill again weighed in on the new Star Trek, this time heaping praise on director JJ Abrams and the new Kirk, Chris Pine. Looks like we have another ‘will Zachary Quinto return to the role of Spock?’ scare going on. In a new interview promoting his work on American Horror Story, Zach said something which could (if viewed in a certain way) be interpreted as possibly saying he might not return for a third Trek film, following Star Trek Into Darkness.

Karl Urban is back on the big screen in a couple of weeks, starring in the new Judge Dredd movie. In the last day as part of their People Like Us publicity tour, both director Alex Kurtzman and star Chris Pine have ended up discussing the Star Trek sequel and specifically the arc of Kirk and the crew of the USS Enterprise, with both noting that the end of the 2009 movie was not the end of their journey to becoming like the crew of the original series. Pine also talked about Benedict Cumberbatch and how his villain brings out the best qualities in Kirk’s journey.
